Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Showcases Impressive Graffiti

This demographic also includes Reddit user Boomstick80, who recently shared a motley assortment of in-game graffiti that they have created using the Custom Designs app. The batch includes 20 images in total, the vast majority of which depictAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsvillagersand other characters in some rather interesting scenarios. E.g., the first graffiti in the set shows the ever-adorable Stitches vomiting a rainbow after eating a colorful cupcake, and is followed by an artwork of Tom Nook shooting Banzai Bill at Mario.

Weapons are a recurring motif in Boomstick80’s recently shared street art, which also includes a depiction of Kiki dual-wielding pistols and Sasha armed with two assault rifles and a disarming smile on his face. The artist also seems to be partial toAnimal Crossing: New Horizons' Stitches, who is seen in two more graffiti apart from the rainbow-vomiting artwork. In the first one, the bear cub is seen marching in a Stormtrooper helmet, with his X-shaped eyes being visible through its visor. The other one shows Stitches sitting on the ground in an adorable shark costume.

Community Stretch with Various Animal Crossing Villagers

Some of the other graffiti from this set include Raymond smoking a cigarette in a red hoodie, Timmy and Tommy Nook posing in superhero costumes, and Brewster sticking his head through a half-eaten slice of bread. Boomstick80 also authored a few somewhat morbid images, like their depiction of Orville swallowing one of the Nook twins while the other one watches in desperation, and several graffiti of Zipper T. Bunny handling a chainsaw. Their artwork of Pennywise holding a red balloon next to the “you’ll float too” message is also part of this creepy subset.

Boomstick80’s in-game graffiti emerged on the front page of the series' largest subreddit in mid-October 2024, eliciting praise from many fans. Elaborating on their creative process, the artist explained that the vast majority of the images span 16 tiles, meaning they didn’t have nearly enoughAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscustom design slotsto store all of them. Instead, they would first sketch the designs in a mobile pixel art app called Dots, then recreate them in the game, deleting their old artwork when they ran out of space and wanted a change.
