Who is LeBlanc in League of Legends?

League of Legendshas a whole range of champions to choose from who could potentially make an appearance inArcane. One popular choice is LeBlanc. A sorcerer and magic-user, LeBlanc is a mysterious member of the Black Rose faction inLeague of Legends. The Black Rose is a secret organization thatis based out of Noxus, a location that will become a lot more important inArcaneSeason 2. The group is a secretive society that has schemed to control the throne of Noxus over the centuries. LeBlanc’s character profile inLeague of Legendsdescribes her as a sorceress who “can appear to anyone, anywhere, and even be in many places at once. Always plotting just out of sight, LeBlanc’s true motives are as inscrutable as her shifting identity.”

InLeague of Legends, LeBlanc’s abilitiesallow players to clone and mirror themselves. She is also a magic wielder who can cast a variety of damaging spells with the powerful staff she bears. LeBlanc is depicted in the game as pale and with dark hair and makeup. The most important thing to know about LeBlanc is that she is a shapeshifter and deceiver, meaning she could be anyone or anywhere, including inArcane.

Is LeBlanc in Arcane Season 2?

Ever sinceArcaneSeason 2’s marketing campaignbegan it has raised a lot of questions without providing many answers. This has led to a hefty number of fan theories, one of which is adamant that LeBlanc is coming in Season 2. The evidence for this is in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment inArcaneSeason 2’s first official trailer which shows a shadowy figure with glowing golden eyes. The character appears to be shapeshifting into someone, perhaps Silco, and their golden eyes and the markings surrounding them are reminiscent of LeBlanc’s in the game.

There are a couple of other points in the trailer that suggest LeBlanc would appear inArcane’ssecond season. At one point in the trailer, someone with an augmented voice says “the arcane is waking up.” In theArcaneworld so far, “the arcane” has typically been a term associated with magic and magecraft. BothHeimerdinger and Bolbokhave cautioned against the arcane, given their prior experiences with it which led to death and tragedy. Jayce, however, has been enamored with magic ever since a mage saved him and his mother from near death when he was a child. His obsession and his work with Viktor have led to Hextech, a new application of arcane magic that resulted in Piltover’s Hex gates and the Hextech gemstone which powers their new weapons. In the final act ofArcaneSeason 1, Viktor managed to heal his ailment using the Hexcore, which may have ended up unlocking something that will have ramifications in Season 2. Perhaps it also caught the attention of someone like LeBlanc.

LeBlanc Has Ties to Noxus

There’s also the fact that Noxus is set to play a bigger part inArcaneSeason 2.Noxus warlord Ambessa Medardawas introduced inArcaneSeason 1 and both her and her army of Noxians are sighted frequently in trailers forArcaneSeason 2, suggesting they will join the war. Given that LeBlanc and the Black Rose have ties to Noxus, this could be a way to draw her into the story, particularly if the balance of power is shifting. Some theories suggest that LeBlanc may have been pulling the strings inArcaneas the major villain all along. As LeBlanc is a shapeshifter, there’s no telling who she could have impersonated or manipulated over the years in Piltover, potentially leading to the war that breaks out inArcaneSeason 2.

It’s been confirmed thatArcaneSeason 2 will introduce some new champions into the fold, and LeBlanc would be an exciting addition. Even if she doesn’t appear for long, recent comments by co-creator Christian Linke suggest thatsome characters will have a life beyondArcane, meaning LeBlanc could be explored further in future spin-off series.

ArcaneSeason 2 will be released on Netflix in three parts starting on November 9.
