Back in September, Ubisoft gave fans the disappointing news thatAssassin’s Creed Shadowshad been delayed. The next installment in the franchise is set to take players to the highly-requested location of feudal Japan and was originally set to release on November 15 but will now be released on May 25, 2025, as Ubisoft has allocated “additional time to further polish the title.” Although the studio noted that the game is “feature complete,” it highlighted the disappointing release ofStar Wars Outlawsas the main reason for the delay.
With rumors suggesting thatUbisoft is ramping up theAssassin’s Creedreleasesin the coming years, there’s never been a better time to be a fan of the franchise. For those who didn’t have the opportunity to check out the series' most recent entry,Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the studio has now confirmed that the popular title will now be released on Steam on October 17. In apost on the platform, Ubisoft said thatAssassin’s Creed Miragewill be released worldwide on October 17 at 10am PDT, along with playable Steam Deck support and 50 achievements for players to earn.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage Steam Release Date Confirmed
There’s currently no confirmed price forAssassin’s Creed Mirageon Steam, but for those wanting to experience Basim’s adventure through 9th Century Baghdad at 4K with a solid 60 FPS and maxed-out graphical settings, the official system requirements note that users will need a GeForce 3080 10GB or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB along with an Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.
As for achievements, Ubisoft says players will be able to earn up to 50 achievements inAssassin’s Creed Mirage. These will range from completing missions or ranking up, to more specific actions. This is good news for fans, as previous Ubisoft titles have been known to launch on Steam without achievements. Despite launching on the platform in 2022,Assassin’s Creed Valhallawas only just updated with Steam achievementsearlier this month. There are now 92 different achievements for players to unlock inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, all of which will be automatically unlocked for players who have already completed the accompanying tasks.
