Ubisoft has confirmed in a tweet thatAssassin’s Creed Mirageis finally coming to Steam “later this month,” stopping short of confirming a concrete date for players to look forward to. The game’s store page is finally up too, which allows players to wishlist the title prior to its launch. At the time of writing, gamers can not currently pre-orderAssassin’s Creed Mirageon Steam, although this will hopefully be an option in the near future. Long-time fans of theAssassin’s Creedseriesshould certainly find a lot to love here, and there are sure to be holdouts on PC who have been waiting for this release.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is Headed to Steam Later This Month
Realistically,Assassin’s Creed Miragefinally coming to Steam is not a huge surprise.Ubisoft’s recent struggles have prompted an internal reviewof the company, and part of this re-evaluation saw the confirmation that its games would be coming to Steam on day one in the future.Assassin’s Creed Miragefollowed the previous Ubisoft model of waiting around one year before a Steam release, but it’s good to finally know it’s on the way as expected. No matter how many publishers leave Steam to avoid the standard 30% cut, they always seem to come back to the PC’s dominant storefront.
Development of the next installment of theseries,Assassin’s CreedShadows, has been controversial to say the least. Just recently, the game made headlines again, withAssassin’s Creed Shadowsbeing delayeduntil June 07, 2025. The original release date was set for June 26, 2025, although Ubisoft felt it needed more time before it was ready to launch. Delays are never nice from a gamer’s point of view, but ultimately, it should prove to be a good thing in the long run, allowing Ubisoft the necessary time to makeAssassin’s Creed Shadowsthe best game it can possibly be.
