Summary
There are two weapons that players can use inThrone and Libertyto really up their DPS game. The first is theCrossbow, which is truly amazing for both ranged and hybrid range builds. The other is theDagger, which will spike players' Critical Hit performance and make it easy to get out of bad situations.
Daggers have been a very prominent weapon choice in theThrone and LibertyPvPexperience, so players looking to explore the game’s PvE and PvP elements can find builds that will work well with different Skill loadouts and rotations for both of them.
1Darkblighter
Daggers + Wand and Tome
Players unsure what they want to play have two great options. The first is tobuild a Crusader, which will allow them to play any part of the game with ease, and still perform well — the other option is a Darkblighter. While a Crusader is a hybrid DPS/tank, the Darkbligher will let new players learn all about being a support, being a DPS, and having many different options to explore rather than Crusader’s one-trick-pony approach to victory.
Darkblighters don’t have a lot of mobility compared to other Dagger builds, but when things look dire, they can use Phantom Smokescreen to give themselves 100% evasion as they make a run for it — preferably behind their allies. While dealing damage to mobs from behind their allies, they can switch their attention to being a healer while their allies finish the job. This makes them agreat build forThrone and Liberty’s GvG game modes.
2Infiltrator
Daggers + Longbow
Infiltrators are truly incredible for beginners. This is a very easy class for new players to learn, while still having a dedicated DPS character. They can deal out continuous long-range damage, or dive in for massive amounts of burst damage. They have plenty of escape methods, and if they damage while evading their opponents, they can make use ofHealing Touchto help get it all back. However, this build still has little room for error due to it being so squishy.
Infiltrators are not a top-tier build option, and there are many better dedicated DPS options to consider — which will be much harder to master. Players will want to arrange their Skills with one for their ranged DPS, and one for their melee DPS. Both of these will benefit from keeping a highInject Venomuptime.
3Spellblade
Daggers + Staff
Spellblades are great choices for playing dungeons, as they are capable of dishing out plenty of single target damage against bosses, but also dealing high area of effect damage against mobs. Naturally, this will mean having to know different Skill rotations, and this can be a little confusing for new players.Remapping the buttonscan help if players find the default controls not suited for playing a certain way, but Skill rotations mean memorizing a set order from the same layout.
This will be a harder build to get the hang of, but it does not stand among some of the hardest builds. While players may find this build mana hungry at first, they will be able to find a good flow with the right gear andInner Peace.
4Ravager
Daggers + Greatsword
Players who want to charge into battle as a melee DPS should consider pairing their Daggers with the Greatsword. The Greatsowrd will allow them to consistently deal out great damage while crowd-controlling their targets. This build does a better job at area of effect damage than a single target, so players will want to prioritize dealing damage to groups over single targets. This build is particularlygreat at Small Scale PvPgame modes.
This is a melee-focused build, and players may be tempted to dive into battle. However, they might overestimate just how fast they are burning through their mana. Players must be mindful to have mana to escape if things get too harrowing. It is worth noting that this is not a tank build despite it being a frontliner, and players will want to use their buffs early on — along with heavy-hitting Skills to finish off enemies at low health. Daggers are one of themost seen weapons in PvPgame modes.
5Scorpion
Daggers + Crossbow
Scorpions reign as the top choice for DPS players, especially when looking at whatSkills the Crossbow offers the build. They have everything one would expect from an Infiltrator and more. They can deal massive amounts of sustained DPS at a distance, or seemingly come out of nowhere with their burst damage. They have no shortage of mana thanks toMana Exchange, but this will cost them HP.
Being a glassy build may make one hesitant to willingly lower their health, but this class has so much mobility and escape options that it can afford to have a risky playstyle. This is a very hard build to learn, but in the hands of a skilled player, it is something to truly fear crossing paths with. Playerswanting to burn through dungeonswill be able to do so in record time using this build.
