Spoiler warningfor the early hours ofThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
6Cuccos On The Loose
Save The Chicken, Earn A Fairy
Cuccos on the Loose is a side quest inThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomlocated in the heart of Kakariko Village. There’s a woman who has lost all of her Cuccos and needs Zelda to find them all. They are very easy to track down in the town, all except for one which is stuck on top of a windmill. With a few stacked objects, it shouldn’t be that hard to reach though.
Once every Cucco is returned to the woman, she will bestow players with a Fairy Bottle. With a Fairy Bottle, players can catch fairies in the wild and bottle them for later, similar to otherZeldagames. If players happen to die, the fairy will release itself, revive Zelda, and then float aw
5The Fireworks Artist
Gain A Cool Monster Distraction
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomplayers should seek out The Fireworks Artistquest, even though it will take them far to the Northwest. It could be a hard zone early on, but if players play it safe, they can make it there. They will have to climb Eldin Volcano to reach Goron City, and in the main hut, they will find a fireworks artist named Basa.
Basa needs Blastpowder Soil to make more fireworks for an upcoming celebration. Therefore, players just need to travel north of Goron City into the mountains to find some Blastpowder Soil along the path. The reward will be50 rupees which isn’t bad for the early stages ofEchoes of Wisdom. Better yet, players can get the Firework Echo, which does not damage enemies but is a good way to distract and attract them to plan a stealthy ambush.
4Runaway Horse
Travel Around Hyrule In Style
A lot of sandbox-style games include some sort of animal or vehicle transport and that is true for this newZeldagame. However, ahorse is not really needed inThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomas there are a lot of nodes for fast travel set up in the world. However, for players who love horses, there is a way to get one early in the campaign.
Just south of Kakariko Village is the Hyrule Ranch. The owner has lost a horse and will hire Zelda to retrieve it, prompting the Runaway Horse side quest. It’s located directly west of the Hyrule Ranch, surrounded by a small moat of water. Once rescued, players can then take one of the few horses they have on hand to explore Hyrule with.
3Recipes, Please!
Help These Scrubs Expand Their Smoothies
Echoes of Wisdom’sRecipes, Please! side questbegins seemingly by accident once players make their first smoothie. Business Scrubs, which are located near most towns, will offer Zelda the ability to craft or sell smoothies. Players just need to choose two items in their inventory to blend and that’s that.
One great early example is using Refreshing Grapes to refill hearts. Other concoctions can restore energy, boost defense power, make Zelda glow in the dark, and so on. Recipes, Please! asks players to make ten smoothies for the Business Scrubs. Once done, players will be rewarded with the Survey Scope accessory, which will make finding ingredients easier. That’s just the beginning, though, because there are other recipe tiers after this for even greater rewards.
2Run Into The Stamp Guy
Leads To Another Fairy Bottle
This stamp-based side quest does not have a direct name inEchoes of Wisdom, but it is similar to Recipes, Please! due to having multiple tiers. There are stamp podiums scattered across Hyrule that players will stumble upon at one point or another. For example, there is one outside of Kakariko Village around the smoothie stand.
Once players activate a stamp node, an energetic NPC will parachute down from the heavens and introduce himself as the Stamp Guy. For every five stamps collected, players will get a prize. The first round will be ten containers of fresh milk and the second prize will be a single Golden Egg. These aren’t bad prices, especially for those wishing to craft more smoothies, but they aren’t rare either. However, players should keep up with this collection because the third tier will unlock a newFairy Bottle inThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
1Introduce Zelda To The Slumber Dojo
A Good Way To Earn Hearts
There is one last side quest located in Kakariko Village that will continue to grow throughout the game. On the far west side of town, players can enter the Slumber Dojo, where they will be tested on various monster-based battle scenarios.
Blank-Slate Battle will remove all monster Echoes to start fresh, and Caromadillo’s Revenge will be a challenging battle even with learned Echoes. Doing well in these two options will net players with five Electro Apples, five Monster Fangs, five Jars of Floral Nectar, and one Heart Piece. Like mostZeldagames, players can increase their health by obtaining four Heart Pieces, and this is just the beginning for the Slumber Dojo.
