With seven maps, many new playable characters, and several new game modes,Super Mario Jamboreehas proven a worthy addition to the much-lovedMario Partygame franchise thus far.

In this list, the ranking of game boards will be ordered by three features: How good do they look on the Nintendo Switch, are they fun to play for multiple gaming ability levels, and do they have standout features not seen on otherMario Partygame boards?

Every map already has a pre-established difficulty rating, but this list will take into account the skill accessibility of the map regardless of its given rating, as it is important not to exclude various ability levels from a self-proclaimed family-friendly party game.

7King Bowser’s Keep

Great Visuals But Tricky To Acquire

King Bowser’s Keep is clearlya visually stunning map, but it’s let down by a repetitive color scheme and, ultimately, its inaccessibility. The amount of time it takes to unlock this map and the journey toward it also feels a little unfair to the more casualSuper Mario Party Jamboreeplayer.

There are some great individual concepts and mini-games on this map, however, such as the coin and bomb circle pictured above. King Bowser’s Keep being in last place does not mean it is a bad map - all theSuper Mario Party Jamboreegame boards are very fun and original to play!

6Western Land

Mario Party 2 Remodeled!

TheMario Party 2classic game board, Western Land, is revamped and restyled inSuper Mario Party Jamboreefor the better! The updated graphics and art style make the game board a very good fit for this iteration ofMario Party.

The event spaces on this map are very original, such as the Milk Stand Hootenany, where all players are taken to the same space. Western Land ultimately resides lower on this list for its color palette which, like King Bowser’s Keep, fits within the theme but makes itone of the less visually striking game boards.

5Goomba Lagoon

Less Chance, More Lava

Goomba Lagoonis a fairly large map compared to some others inSuper Mario Party Jamboree, and it seems to lose some of its charm from this. The inclusion of the washing tide to close pathways to other islands can sometimes feel a little frustrating to the more casual, less strategic player.

However, the Volcano Eruption is a great feature that can result in gaining or losing coins from the lava points scattered around the volcano game spaces when it erupts. This proves to be a very fun addition that requires considerably less skill than some of the other event spaces on other maps. It is quite refreshing to see a less player-chance-based game event.

4Mario’s Rainbow Castle

A Beloved Classic Kept Simple

From the originalMario Partygame, Mario’s Rainbow Castle joinsSuper Mario Party Jamboreewith updated graphics! The aesthetic of this map is beautiful, with a serene pastel cloud game board and Mario-themed hot air balloons.

The changing shop mechanic is an exciting feature that allows for more variety as players pass. Moreover, the changing shop provides a no-skill-required game event, increasing the accessibility of this map when playing with people of almost any age or capability.

3Roll ‘Em Raceway

Race To Victory With Exciting Event Spaces

With an innovative movement method (race cars!), it’s not hard to see why Roll ‘em Raceway has become one of the most popular game boards amongSuper Mario Party Jamboreeplayers. Plus, with no need to grind to unlock it, this map has great accessibility for players of all skill levels.

The Runaway Race Car event space is very entertaining (all-be-it sometimes frustrating) and doesn’t require skill. The “You Got A Star” screen is particularly visually effective on this map due to the characters being in the race cars.

2Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party

Adorable Visuals For Multiple Skill Levels

Housing perhapsthe cutest visualsof all theSuper Mario Party Jamboreegame boards, Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party is played at very low difficulty - making it one of the most accessible game boards to play. Furthermore, the simple game mechanics, such as the addition of a Wiggler Bell to move the Mega Wiggler’s position, allows players with multiple levels of skill and strategy to enjoy this game board together.

With great theming, a varied color palette, and the adorable addition of the Mega Wiggler, this map proves a worthy entry to both the game and this list.

1Rainbow Galleria

Perfect Theming, Great Colors, And Highly Accessible!

Rainbow Galleria secures its place in the top spot for its cohesive yet varied color palette, simple yet innovative game board events, and overall fantasticaccessibility for players of multiple skill levels. The new fast travel features on this map, such as the escalators and elevators, allow for simple map traversal and easy navigation and can be fast-forwarded to speed up gameplay if desired.

With its greatly original theming and a catchy music score to go with it, Rainbow Galleria is a firm favorite for both new players and fans of theMario Partyfranchise.
