InWizard of Legend 2, we set off to conquer the Trials of Legend and become the titular “Wizard of Legend.” To achieve this, you must to choose your Arcana, Relics, and Medallion carefully. Preparation is half the battle, after all. While you begin the game with three Arcana and one Relic, you don’t get access to Medallions until you’ve attempted the Trials a few times.
Medallions replace the passive bonuses your robes gave you in the previous game. InWizard of Legend 2, you can choose any robes you like without it impacting your stats, and then pick a Medallion that has the passive bonuses you want. This guide will discuss the Medallions available in the early-access build and suggest which ones are the best when starting out.
How Medallions Work in Wizard of Legend 2
Medallions are an equippable item inWizard of Legend 2that give players passive bonuses. In the previous game, these bonuses were tied to the robes you were wearing, so this change is likely intended to let players dress however they want without affecting their stats.
Using Chaos Gems, you may purchase new Medallions from the Magic Mirror in the Hub.The Magic Mirror won’t respond until you’ve attempted the trials a few times and gained the ability to equip runes. Once you’ve completed a run after getting the ability to equip runes, the Magic Mirror should allow you to interact with it. Medallions are one of the more expensive uses for your Chaos Gems.
All Medallions in Wizard of Legend 2
In the current early access build there are nine Medallions available for use. Here’s how they all work:
75
Increase Damage Dealt by 25%, but Reduce Health by 25%.
100
Increase Critical Chance by 10% and Critical Damage by 25%
Spirit
Increase Healing Received by 20% and Critical Heal Chance by 10%
50
Pace
Increase Movement Speed by 15% and Decrease Sprint Delay by 25%
Fall
Reduce Max Health by 50%. After 5 seconds of not taking damage, Health Rapidly Regenerates.
Increase Evade Chance by 10% and Critical Chance by 5%
While the section below specifically covers Medallions that are great for helping you get through your first few runsand can supplement any build very efficiently, it’s worth noting that your choice of Medallion is likely to be heavily influenced by your playstyle and build. If you’re using the Vampire’s Eyeglasses Relic (that heals you on critical hits), for example, you’d likely want to use the Awe Medallion to boost your critical hit chance. If you’re using a Relic that triggers revenge effects whenever you evade, you might pick Shift instead.
Wizard of Legend 2: Best Medallion for New Players
Once you gain access to Medallions inWizard of Legend 2, the safest and most reliable choices would be Vigor, Focus, or Spirit. Vigor makes an excellent choice since extra health means more room to make mistakes and recover from them as you explore the Trials. Focus will let you use your Charged Signature Arcana with more frequency, which can be fantastic for dealing with larger groups of enemies. Spirit, when paired with a Relic like the BerserKing Sandwich to provide you with healing, can make your health bar go a lot further and help you recover in dangerous fights.
Fall is also a good choice since the rapid regeneration it provides can help you keep going after taking damage in a fight, but the 50% max health penalty means you’ll need to play cautiously to take full advantage of it.
