Warning: This article contains major spoilers for all Acts of Baldur’s Gate 3!

10Craft the Vision of the Absolute

Find the Broken Pieces of a Secret Spear

In Act 1, Tav can come across two siblings trying to save their brother, Edowin, who has just been attacked by an Owlbear. It doesn’t really matter what choice is made here because he’ll die either way, and players just need to loot his body to find the Broken Shaft of a Spear.

ensure to hold onto it, and head towards the Owlbear Cave just ahead on the same path. Once inside, whether by killing the Owlbear mother or sneaking past her, make sure to get the Head of a Broken Spear off of her. Once both are acquired, combine them to receive theVision of the Absolute Spear, which has the special Absolute Night ability that blinds targets that save a failed Dexterity throw and deals additional Piercing damage to creatures with multiple eyes.

9Unlock the Titanstring Bow

Deliver the Missing Shipment to the Zhentarim Hideout

In Act 1, players can come across a cave where two traders are hiding from a group of Gnolls who are attacking them. This is part of the Missing Shipment quest, which can be completed in a variety of ways, but for this variant, the shipment must be delivered (unopened) to the Zhentarim Hideout. This is something a lot of players may have missed because many have chosen to take the contents of the shipment for themselves -which includes the Iron Flask inside.

Once delivered, the Titanstring Bow can be purchased from Bhrem in the Zhentarim Hideout. The weapon lets players deal additional damage equal to their own Strength modifier, making it an excellent choice for tank classes. More damage to this bow is added by taking potions like Elixir of Hill Giant Strength, making it a one-shot potential weapon for earlier areas ofBaldur’s Gate 3.

8Explore the Arcane Tower’s Basement

Take Bernard’s Ring to Find the Staff of Arcane Blessing

The Arcane Tower is one of the more interesting areas to be discoveredwhile exploring the Underdark, but meeting Bernard doesn’t spell the end of this adventure. Equipping the Guiding Light Ring will see players gifted with a reward for solving their riddle, and a hidden button appears on the elevator which takes players between floors.

This button will take Tav to the basement of the Tower, where they can find the Staff of Arcane Blessing near some bookshelves. The special thing about this Staff is Mystra’s Blessing, which gives the wielder an extra 1d4 to Saving Throws and Attack Rolls, and an extra 2d4 to all Spell Attack Rolls.

7Erase Minthara’s Mind

Take Over the Interrogation of Minthara

If Minthara was spared in Act 1, players can run into her in Moonrise Towers before saving the Nightsong in Act 2. She’s being interrogated by Ketheric Thorm and Disciple Z’rell, and sparing her implies she can be recruited after the Emerald Grove, but there are worse fates that await her.

However, without intervention, players can go down to the Moonrise Towers Prison and find her a second time being questioned by Sumera. Here, there are two choices; either let Questioner Sumera break her and erase her memory, or use deception or intimidation to take over the questioning. In this case, players can erase Minthara’s memory entirely, convince her to pretend her mind is broken or get her to join the party.

6Take Araj Oblodra’s Offer

A Little Blood Can go a Long Way

Araj Oblodra in Moonrise Towers is hidden away in the lab on the east side of the Tower. She has a strange request and desires Tav’s blood, which gives a powerful special potion depending on the character’s race.

That’s not all, though, because, with Astarion in the party, she will ask him to bite her neck in exchange for another potion. He’ll disapprove if he is forced to do it, but he can get a Potion of Everlasting Vigour in return, which permanently increases the Strength score of whoever drinks it by 2.

5How to Find the Killer’s Sweetheart Ring

Fight Yourself and Your Mirror Allies For a Neat Ring

When inside the Gauntlet of Shar in Act 2, players can discover a room where they must battle mirror versions of themselves and their party in the Self-Same Trial. Because the bodies of these mirror images disappear immediately, players might have missed out on a powerful ring that can be discovered upon their defeat.

After giving the offering to Shar, look for the Killer’s Sweetheart Ring on a bench near the brazier. When wearing the ring, the next Attack roll made after killing a creature will be an immediate Critical Hit, making it an incredibly strong Boon to have for the rest of the game. This ability can only be used once, but it does refresh after a Long Rest.

4Meet Honk in Act 3

A New NPC to Grunt and Serve Drinks on a Date With Karlach

Honk is possibly one of the rarest characters due to the absurdly specific steps required in order to meet him. Not only do players need to romance Karlach, but they need to Firstly, playersneed to kill Henk, the owner of the Singing Lute Tavern in the Lower City. Only after this is it a good idea to go on a date with Karlach.

In the original scene, without any interference from the player, Henk serves Tav and Karlach on their date. But, if he is killed beforehand, he will be replaced by Honk, who is assumed to be his brother. A few months ago, Honk didn’t even have a wiki page to his name - indicating how rare this interaction is.

3The Ringless Gem and Gemless Ring

An Easy-to-Miss Secret in Rivington

This ring can be easy to miss because the Ringless Gem component can only be bought from a trader, Ferg Drogher, in Rivington if Shadowheart is not in the party. Considering she’s one of the most popular party members among players, it’s likely that most also may have missed this.

Drogher sells the Ringless Gem, and players can find the Gemless Ring on a corpse near the cliffs toward the east of Rivington. Put them together, and players can craft an Uncommon Tarnished Ring. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any special abilities, butit may be an Easter EggthatBaldur’s Gate 3players have yet to figure out. Either way, it’s a cool little discovery in Act 3 that some may not have known about.

2Craft The Hellfire Engine Crossbow

Discover the Weapon in the Steel Watch Foundry

While completing theDisable the Steel Watch quest in Act 3, search the office at the back of the building to find the Watcher Crossbow Blueprint. Then, players need to find a Targeting Module, Steel Watcher Arm, and a Table in order to craft the Hellfire Engine Crossbow from the blueprints. The Arm is found at X: -280 Y: -164 and the Module at X: -305 Y: -156, while the table is in the same room players found the Blueprint.

To craft the Hellfire Engine Crossbow, interact with the Table and simply put together the parts. The crossbow comes with really decent damage, but it also unlocks the Lightning Arrow spell for the wielder - which allows them to cast an arrow of electricity which bursts on impact and deals additional Lightning damage to any creatures around it.

1Get the Boots of Very Fast Blinking

Give in to Akabi’s Wheel of Wonder

The Circus of the Last Day remains one of the most interesting areas in Act 3, and Akabi the Djinn has become renowned for turning players into a wheel of cheese or sending them to a secret jungle full of dinosaurs. However, those who have some patience and continue to play his Wheel of Wonder can get the Boots of Very Fast Blinking.

The boots are considered a junk item, but they have a mechanic thatallows players to use Misty Stepas many times as they want without expending a spell slot. The caveat, however, is that players will teleport without their clothes. Weapons and accessories aren’t affected by this, though, so it could make for some very strange and creative encounters in fights.
