Geo has not been a popular element in the current meta, especially for its support characters inGenshin Impact. This is largely due to their inherent limitations, coupled with the Crystallize reaction being less valued except for a few specific characters likeNavia. However, Xilonen arrives with a unique kit that has the potential to challenge this status quo. Her ability to fill multiple roles within a team, whether as support, healer, or even DPS, makes her a standout character.
Xilonen’s capacity to utilize the “Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City” artifact set, combined with the buffs she provides, makes herutility comparable to Kazuha’s. She can easily buff multiple elements without relying on complex double-Swirl setups. Furthermore, her healing ability through her Elemental Burst (when the team includes at least two characters with elements other than Geo, Anemo, or Dendro) creates excellent synergy with characters likeFurina. This allows for team compositions that combine healing and damage amplification for much-needed sustain. Especially at C0, players should aim for elemental diversity in their teams to fully benefit from her artifact set and her Elemental Burst’s healing capabilities. Ultimately, Xilonen can fit in almost any team composition with any hypercarry, and here are some of Xilonen best team options inGenshin Impact:
Xilonen + Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha
This team composition, featuringNeuvillette, Furina, Kazuha, and Xilonen, is one of the best teams for showcasing Xilonen’s potential. It effectively utilizes three buffers to amplify the damage of a strong Hydro DPS like Neuvillette.Since Neuvillette isn’t reliant on reactionslike Vaporize or Electro-Charged to achieve high damage, he can benefit greatly from buffers instead of needing specific element team members.
Neuvillette’s HP gain and drain mechanic synergizes perfectly with Furina, allowing her to quickly accumulate Fanfare stacks while remaining in a sub-DPS role. Xilonen’s healing ensures the team’s HP stays above 50%, further contributing to Furina’s Fanfare generation. Combining Kazuha and Xilonen elevates the team’s DPS potential to exceptional levels. Viridescent Venerer’s Elemental RES debuff stacks with Xilonen’s Source Sample debuff, and the Elemental DMG bonuses from Xilonen’s artifact set and Kazuha’s own buffs also stack. While there are diminishing returns on Elemental RES debuffs when pushing enemy resistance into the negatives, the combined effect is still incredibly potent. For players without Kazuha, or those who prefer to use him elsewhere, this slot offers flexibility. Strong alternatives include Sucrose for additional support, orRaiden ShogunandYae Mikofor an Electro-Charged focused team.
Team Roles
Xilonen + Navia + Xiangling + Bennett
As a character who thrives on Crystallize reactions, Navia benefits greatly from having another Geo character on her team, while also utilizing other elements—a perfect synergy with Xilonen. While Xilonen’s healing might not be crucial in this team due to Bennett’s presence, it still provides a valuable safety net. This team composition is straightforward, with a variety of buffs provided by characters like Bennett and Xilonen, and it effectively utilizes both Geo and Pyro Resonance.
For thosewho prefer Itto over Naviaas a Geo hypercarry, it’s recommended to avoid a mono-Geo team to maximize the benefits of the “Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City” artifact set. Including a consistent sub-DPS from another element enables the Crystallize reaction needed to activate the set’s bonus. However, since both Itto and Xilonen benefit from Geo Source Samples, a 3-Geo team composition with a character likeGoroubecomes ideal.
Xilonen + Mualani + Xiangling + Xingqiu
Another great team composition features Xiangling alongside Mualani this time, while offering players a chance to utilize synergistic Natlan characters while achieving impressive damage numbers. Unlike Neuvillette, whodoesn’t rely on elemental reactions, Mualani thrives with Vaporize, making Xiangling an ideal teammate to enable this reaction. The last slot is flexible, but can be effectively filled by Xingqiu (orYelan) for additional Hydro application and resonance. This makes the Mualani team more free-to-play friendly than the Neuvillette composition, requiring fewer 5-star characters for high damage output.
Xilonen + Raiden + Yelan + Furina
Xilonen can effectively replace Jean in Electro-Charged Raiden team compositions and even Kazuha in Raiden hypercarry teams (Raiden, Sara, Kazuha, Bennett). This is particularly valuable in scenarios with multiple waves of enemies, such as the Spiral Abyss, as her debuffs don’t need to be constantlyreapplied like Viridescent Venererwith each new wave.
In an Electro-Charged team, Raiden benefits significantly from strong Hydro sub-DPS units like Yelan and Furina, with Furina providing valuable additional buffs. Xilonen can seamlessly take on the healer and buffer role in this composition, previously occupied by Jean. This double-buffer setup with Xilonen and Furina can result in a significant damage increase. However, it’s worth noting that in a hypercarry team composition where C6Chevreuseis used instead of Kazuha, Chevreuse might still offer greater synergy and overall benefit.
Xilonen + Chiori + Gorou + Fischl
One last team composition worth considering focuses on Xilonen as the on-field main DPS. While her support capabilities outshine her DPS potential, this team allows players to explore her damage output with a fun and effective setup. Although her healing contribution is reduced in this role, it can be easily compensated for by including a well-invested Gorou (C4 or higher).
This team composition allows players to utilizeChiori, who is receiving a rerun alongside Xilonen’s debut banner. Alternatively,Albedocan fill the same sub-DPS role, offering similar Geo damage scaling with DEF. Gorou enables all three of his buffs in this team, benefiting both Xilonen and Chiori. The last slot offers flexibility for a sub-DPS, as long as they are Cryo, Hydro, Pyro, or Electro character. Fischl is an easily accessible 4-star option to fill this slot. However, with the release of future Natlan characters, there may be even more synergistic options to explore.
