Fastest Ways to Level Up in New World: Aeternum

If you’re a solo player, then the best way to level up inNew Worldis todo the main quest. This same logic applies to almost every other MMO out there, but there are a couple of things you should know in this game to help you earn XP faster than usual.

Do Those Side Quests

First, there aremany side quests that are set at or near the main story quests' objectives. We strongly suggest taking every side quest you can when you reach a new area, then complete them as you’re doing the MSQ. Not all side quests happen near main story objectives, so you can either refrain from taking those or just hide them from your journal so your UI doesn’t get cluttered.

Regional XP Bonuses

Second, you can getregional XP bonusesby unlocking perks, which you can get by earningTerritory Standing Points inNew World: Aeternum. Open your map screen, then turn your attention to the left side. There’s a list of map regions there, and if one of them has a notification blip, that means you can unlock perks for that region.

You’ll get to pick between three random perks for every upgrade point you have. The XP bonus perk won’t always be there — if it isn’t, grab some extra storage space or gathering speed instead.

Crafting

If you’re already at a high level and are struggling to reach the max cap, try toincorporate crafting into your regular routine. You get XP for your main level and the trade skill of your choice. Since crafting tends to be very lucrative, this is a great way to earn money if you’re planning to buy something expensive likea house inNew World: Aeternum.

Since crafting requires a lot of materials, this method is usually reserved for mid-late-game players with way too many resources than they know what to do with. Crafting and refining low-level materials typically isn’t worth doing early on, and you’re better off focusing on completing quests instead.
