That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimewill begetting two new projectsin the near future. On Friday, Bandai Namco Filmworks announced that a fourth season of the popular anime has been green-lit, witha new movie accompanying it.
A new visual and trailer were released as part of the announcement. The announcement coincided with the finale of the third season of the anime.

Fuse’sThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimenovel series originally ranfrom February 2013 to January 2016 on the self-publishing platform Shosetsuka ni Naro. The light novel adaptation, with illustrations by Mitz Vah, was first published in 2014 and currently stands at 21 volumes. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Taiki Kawakami began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius in 2015 and has amassed 27 tankobon volumes so far.
Theseries has inspired a myriad of manga spin-offsover the years alongside the popular anime adaptation, an ONA, and a 2022 anime movie. TheThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimeanime first aired during the Fall 2018 season. The first season of the anime ran for 24 episodes and was animated by Studio 8bit. Yasuhito Kikuchi (IS: Infinite Stratos, Saint Seiya) directed, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover, Shangri-La Frontier) handling the script and music by Elements Garden. Atsushi Nakayama (KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! - Legend of Crimson,Absolute Duo) took over as director from season 2 onwards, with Toshizo Nemoto (Steins;Gate, Durarara!!) handing the series composition for season 3.
A spin-off anime,The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, aired during the Spring 2021 season. Themanga of the same namebegan serialization in Monthly Shonen Sirius in March 2018 with illustrations by Shiba. An anime original film,That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie – Scarlet Bond, was released on June 13, 2025. The film was directed by Kikuchi, with Fudeyasu adapting Fuse’s original story.
