Another minigame has graced the horrors of Terminus Island, and those who enter intoBlack Ops 6’s Zombies mode will be able to race against their friends and the clock to earn themselves unique rewards likefree Perksand weapons. Yet, how does one activate the boat race on Terminus?
Terminus has three toy boats that can be found in the waters of certain islands, and interacting with them will have players jump into a toy boat and race their friends or beat a time trial at the fastest speeds and quickest times for further rewards in thissecret minigameinBlack Ops 6Zombies.
Each boat location requires players to swim down into the sea, so it’s best tograb the oxygen maskbefore embarking into the depths.
All Toy Boat Locations in Terminus
There are3 toy boats found onTerminus, and only one of them can beactivated every 5 Rounds. Each of these boats has a static spawn, and players can swim to them and hold the interact button to start the boat race minigame, but the boat that they are interacting with must have a flashing red light. With 3 boat locations, here’s exactly where players can find them all so they can race their friends:
Toy Boat Location #1
Found on Castle Rock Island (top right on the map), swing right from the GobbleGum Machine and when on the right side of the island, head into the shallow waters and swim directly down to find the toy boat.
Toy Boat Location #2
Found on Crab Island (bottom island on the map), behind the Armor Wall-Buy, swimming down into the seat while hugging the wall on the right.
Toy Boat Location #3
Head to Temple Island (top left on the map) and face away from the Gun Wall-Buy, going left at a slight diagonal location to walk into the water and swim down, rearing to the left.
Players can only interact with a new toy boat every five rounds, allowing them to do the boat race a total of 3 times per game.
How to Beat the Boat Race Minigame
When players interact with the red light on the toy boat, they will then spawn inside the remote-controlled boat with a timer counting down from 5. Players can then use the WASD Keys and their Analogue Sticks to steer the boat, and R2/RT/Left-Click will be held to maintain speed, whereas L2/LT/Right-Click will help players slow down and reverse.
The best way to win the Terminus boat race against friends is to run into the Essence canisters that will provide a speed boost which can be activated by clicking in L3. Doing so will allow players to reach faster speeds at the cost of turning, but it’salways a good ideato watch out for floating zombie corpses and tentacles, as they can smack the boat off course.
The rewards for completing the boat race can range from Essence, Salvage, different rarity guns, and in some cases, Perk-a-Colas, depending on how fast players beat the 3-minute time trial.
