Human Alliance

ThesenewWorld of Warcraftmountsare direct references to the four playable factions ofWarcraft 3: the Human Alliance, the Orcish Horde, the Undead Scourge, and the Night Elf Sentinels. That said, the mounts in this bundle are not locked to any World of Warcraft race or faction – an Orc can ride the Gryphon as easily as the Wind Rider, and an Undead can ride the Hippogryph or the Dreadwing.

These new mounts could be another part of a biggerWarcraft 3puzzle. The reward for completing the Adventurer’s Log at the Trading Post in November is a set ofWarcraft 3-themed back transmogs, and key art from theWarcraftDirect announcement features majorWoWcharacters like Thrall, Tyrande, and Jaina sporting theirWC3designs. This, combined with the fact thatWarcraft 3: Reforgedwas briefly updated to 2.0on the internal Public Test Realm a short while ago, has led some players to suspect something big is on the horizon for the RTS. If so, Blizzard may announce something at the upcomingWarcraftDirect.

Interestingly enough, these weren’t the only new mounts added to theWorld of Warcraftshop recently. The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur – an infamous gold sink mount sporting a mobile Auction House NPC on it – has received a gilded upgrade inWorld of Warcraftwith the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur, swapping out the repair vendor for a mailbox. However, this single mount costs a whopping $90 – three times the price of the wholeWarcraft30th Anniversary Mount Bundle.
