After having faced quite a lot of adversities in theBorutoseries, fans expect Naruto to step up once again and show the world why he is the famed 7th Hokage, and, at the same time, the Child of Prophecy. This story might be about Boruto, butNaruto remains the fan-favorite character here, and, at the same time, he has a standard to maintain. This is precisely why the author could be setting him up to be a savior once again and avert a massive disaster that could be impending.
Naruto’s Status As The Next Sage Of Six Paths
In the Naruto series, it was clearly established that Naruto Uzumaki was the successor of the Sage of Six Paths. He was described as the Child of Prophecy, and it was his job to reunite all the Tailed Beasts and get them to trust him. Naruto succeeded in this mission through love and having a warm heart, and that is precisely why he was gifted half the powers of the Sage of the Six Paths. Naruto Uzumaki was truly the second coming of the Sage, and this is a belief that all the Tailed Beasts held as well. This should not come as a surprise to any fan.

At the same time, fans also know that Naruto saved the world from great destruction. This is yet another feat of his that is comparable to the Sage of Six Paths. to stop the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto joined up with the Tailed Beastsand he put a stop to Madara Uchiha, in a way, and also defeated Kaguya Otsutsuki. Later on, he also saved the world from Sasuke. Naruto truly was the Child of Prophecy, and in many ways, he proved himself as the second coming of the Sage of Six Paths once again. This is also why Naruto was the strongest ninja at the end of the series, and this status was maintained by him until much later in the Boruto series as well.
While Naruto certainly was the strongest for quite a while, the introduction of new enemies in Boruto meant that he had to step up his game in an attempt to protect everyone. Naruto certainly did the latter, but he ended up losing a significant portion of his power in the process.

In the Boruto series, Naruto Uzumaki has been harshly treated on many occasions. Right at the beginning, Naruto and Sasuke fought against Momoshiki, and it was clear to the fans that their strength was certainly not that muchgreater than the likes of the Otsutsuki. Against stronger enemies, such as Isshiki, their weakness was apparent, but Naruto certainly stepped up when he tapped into the power of Baryon Mode to defeat Isshiki. Although he certainly led to his defeat, Naruto himself ended up losing a significant portion of his power. Essentially, due to Baryon Mode, Kurama died and Naruto was left without a Tailed Beast for the first time.

This meant that his main source of power was no more, and ever since then, Naruto has been left weak, with nothing to make up for the loss of power. To make things worse, Naruto was then sealed by Kawaki, and ever since then, he has essentially been cut out from the plot entirely. This has not sat well with the fans, and to this day, they are still waiting for his return and to see him fight once again on the battlefield, leading the next generation from the front.
Even though Boruto continues in Two Blue Vortex, Naruto Uzumaki has yet to return. Given how the plot is shaping up right now, Naruto is not even close to returning to the series. But, fans do know that eventually, he will have to come back. As Naruto comes back, fans wonder how he’s going to stay relevant in an era where monstrously powerful characters exist. In one way or another, Naruto has to catch up to them, and, the author has now presented a way for him to do just that.

Naruto Could Absorb The Ten Tails
Up until recently, fans believed that Naruto Uzumaki would somehow reunite with Kurama once again. But, this theory was squashed by the author when Kurama returned, only this time, inside Himawari, in some way. Now,Himawari is Kurama’s permanent Jinchuriki, which means that she will go on to grow with him by her side. This means Naruto Uzumaki will never reunite with Kurama again. Then, this leads one to wonder how Naruto will ever regain his strength and status as a powerful Hokage, and remain one of the strongest ninjas to ever live.
Of course, the series is not about Naruto anymore, and Boruto is the protagonist. But, as was the case with the Naruto series, legends of the world need to be respected, and this is even more so the case with Naruto, who is at the core of the franchise and the only reason why Boruto even exists or is even read by as many people. Naruto Uzumaki needs to stay relevant no matter what, and if he isn’t, the fans certainly will not be happy.
The author has to figure out a way to make Naruto relevant again, and thankfully, a path has presented itself in the latest Boruto chapters. As fans know, the Ten-Tails is incredibly important in Boruto. Right now, the 10 Tails has been humanized through the Shinju, but eventually, it is likely that the actual Ten Tails beast will have to be dealt with.The Ten Tails cannot be killed. It is a Tailed Beast, and as has been already established in the series, Tailed Beasts are essentially masses of Chakra.
Even though the ten tails might have a body of its own, it could potentially be separated, just as Hagoromo did in the past. Naruto could potentially go on to seal the 10 Tails inside himself, and do what Hagaromo did long ago. This would prevent the Ten-Tails from ever being a problem again on planet Earth and, more importantly, give Naruto tremendous strength. This could be the perfect wayto bring back the 7th Hokageand ensure that he watches over the next generation for the foreseeable future. It will also make the fans happy, and at the same time, make the plot ofBorutoall the more exciting.
