Summary
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6players are calling out the game’s inconsistent time to kill (often abbreviated to TTK) and hit registration, blasting the game’s multiplayer matches as frustrating due to what many believe is a game-breaking bug. Developer Treyarch Studios has yet to address the potential issue, but withCall of Duty: Black Ops 6being less than a week old, there’s still plenty of time for new patch updates to be deployed.
While some fans believe there’s a serious issue with the game’s TTK and hit registration, others are simply frustrated by the lackluster lineup of maps available inBlack Ops 6. After back-to-back years of new entries in theModern Warfareseries, theCall of Dutycommunity has been eagerly awaiting the return of Treyarch’s smash-hitBlack Opsseries. AlthoughBlack Ops 6is receiving rave reviewsfrom critics, there’s no denying that the shooter’s multiplayer still needs some bugs ironed out, with the inconsistent TTK being one of fans' biggest complaints.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Might Have a TTK Issue
Over on Reddit, theCall of Dutycommunity is discussingBlack Ops 6’s wildly inconsistent TTK, with many users agreeing that the issue needs to be addressed by Treyarch Studios. In a new post from Handerson15, which has clearly resonated with the community, garnering over 1,500 upvotes at the time of writing, the user says they “refuse to believe” that there isn’t some sort of bug with the game’s TTK and hit registration. They explain that when they engage in some gun fights, they’re wiping out the enemy instantaneously, while in other instances appear to take half a magazine without even getting the kill.
Other users, such asI_TRS_Gear_I, say they’ve had this experience withevery newCall of Dutygamefor the past three years. “One match it’s like you have the most deadly weapon known to man, the next, using the same exact gun you can’t even kill players that you’re flanking because they feel the tickle, turn around, and dust you,” the user said. While Reddit userImTooOldForSchoolsaid, “half the time my gun is a peashooter but I get domed and buried with a single shot.”
It is worth noting thatBlack Ops 6’s time to kill is supposed to be much faster than its predecessor, Black Ops Cold War, according to Treyarch Studios. This means players should find the new shooter to be much more fast-paced, and while the new omnidirectional movement is keeping the gameplay feeling quick and fluid, the inconsistency in TTK is undeniable.
Unfortunately,Black Ops 6’s massively inconsistent TTK is just one of the game’s major issues being critiqued by players right now. While fans are loving the fast-paced chaos that Treyarch’s latest shooter offers, the map variety and overall designs are leading to a lot of frustration in the community. Smaller multiplayer maps, such as Stakeout, are proving to be a nightmare asplayers are blastingBlack Ops 6’s outrageous spawn points. Thankfully, Season 1 is set to arrive on November 14, and Treyarch has already promised to be bringing back some fan-favorite maps from previous years.
