Among the changes are increased XP rates for the game modes Team Deathmatch, Control, Search and Destroy, and Gunfight. Previously, these modes were awarding “less XP than expected.” There are also out-of-bounds exploit fixes on the maps Babylon, Lowtown, and Red Card. Twitch streamers also get positive news with the “Mute Licensed Music” setting now functioning as intended.
One notable omission from the list of patch notes is a fix for the bug that allowsCall of Duty: Black Ops 6players to see through flashbangs. It’s worth remembering that while Treyarch will undoubtedly have individuals working tirelessly to solve some of the game’s most pressing issues, some could take time to solve. As players discover more bugs in the game, some will take priority over others.
Right now, it’s still preseason inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. It’s rumored thatSeason 1 ofBlack Ops 6will launch in mid-November, but Treyarch has yet to say when it will officially begin. If this is correct, this is good news, as it gives the developer a few weeks to continue releasing small patches like this to iron out the game’s bugs. In the meantime, players will have access to the classic map Nuketown starting November 1, giving them a little bit of new content before Season 1 finally kicks off.
