Summary
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6isn’t even available globally at the time of writing, but a Twitch streamer has already become the first player in the world to unlock a gold weapon camo. WhileCall of Duty: Black Ops 6is set to launch globally on October 25, hardcore fans and content creators are using the New Zealand trick on Xbox to play the game almost a full day before its worldwide release.
After two years of back-to-backModern Warfareentries,Call of Dutyfans are eager to return to Treyarch Studios’Black Opsseries. In fact, some players are so eager to jump back in that they’re using a handy little trick toplayCall of Duty: Black Ops 6early. While making use of the trick won’t get players banned, it does require quite a few steps, including changing the time, date, and location of the platform to New Zealand. But for fans looking to get in as much camo and leveling grinding as possible, it’s a surefire way to get ahead of the game.
Black Ops 6 Streamer Becomes World’s First Player to Unlock Gold Camo
AsCall of Dutyplayers beginBlack Ops 6’s weapon mastery camogrind, Twitch streamer and content creator Reidboyy has become the world’s first player to unlock a gold weapon camo in the new shooter. Reidboyy, who was also the first person in the world to unlock the coveted interstellar camo inModern Warfare 3, took to Twitter to reveal that he had become the first individual to unlock the gold weapon camo for the XM4 assault rifle inBlack Ops 6, just a little over an hour after the game was released in New Zealand.
While streamers are already declaringBlack Ops 6’s camo grind to be easier than previous years, it still takes plenty of skill to unlock a gold weapon camo in just over an hour. Players must achieve a plethora of double kills, headshots, and more to unlock all of the camos leading up to gold, and withBlack Ops 6not technically being fully released yet, this is a huge achievement for the streamer.
Thankfully, for fans who are looking to grind the shooter’s massive Zombies mode but don’t want to use the New Zealand trick, Treyarch has confirmed thatBlack Ops 6Zombies' easter eggs won’t be released until October 25at 10 AM PT. For players who are making use of the trick, or for those actually in New Zealand, Zombies is now playable, but the game’s side quests and easter eggs won’t launch until the aforementioned date and time. This gives players who want to be the first in the world to complete the easter egg a fair shot at competing without having to use the New Zealand trick.
