Monster Stone Drops:
The primary method ofobtaining Monster Stones inEchoes of Wisdomis through defeating monsters and other enemies. It is possible that higher level enemies provide a slightly higher chance to drop Monster Stones, but this may only be a situational coincidence.
There is a way to improve your chances of getting Monster Stones from enemies, simply by raising the chances for all enemy drops. TheSurvery Scopeincreases the likliehood offinding all materials, and the upgraded version of this accessory, theSurvey Binoculars, increase the drop rates even more. Bith of these items are given as rewards during the “Recipes, Please!” side quest. The Scope is awarded after completing 10 new recipes, and the Binoculars are awarded after completing30 new recipesand finishing the quest.

How to Use Monster Stones in Echoes of Wisdom
Monster Stones have one primary use inEchoes of Wisdom:repairing Automatons at Dampé Studio.
How to Repair Automatons in Echoes of Wisdom:
Automatons can be unlocked about halfway throughEchoes of Wisdom.Unlike Echoes, Automatons are mechanical inventions of Dampé, and can be damaged to the point where they will no longer function without repair. When that happens, you must return toDampé Studioat the northern end ofEastern Hyrule Field.
Speak to Dampé inside his studio, and you’ll see the option forAutomaton repairs. Selecting this option will bring up a menu that displays which Automatons are in need of repair. You do not have to wait until an Automaton is compeltely broken to repair it. If you use Automatons, then your menu will likely feature Automatons in various states of disrepair.
As you’ll see below each Automaton, there is a rupee price, and aMonster Stoneprice. This is what Monster Stones are used for. You will save yourself a vertiable fortune by collecting and using Monster Stones instead of rupees to repair Automatons.
Do not sell Monster Stones. You will only receive 5 rupees each, making them far more valuable to use for Automaton repairs.
