In a recent post on theSilent Hillsubreddit, user jessilyncupcake showed off their pizza box Pyramid Head mask. The item this was based on was one given to players who pre-ordered the digital Deluxe Edition ofBloober Team’sSilent Hill 2remake. In addition to receiving a copy of the game, those who purchased the same pack early also received the Mira the Dog Mask and two days of early access, as well as a digital artbook and soundtrack. Sony PlayStation 5 owners were given a Robbie the Rabbit Mask too for pre-ordering the digital Deluxe Edition.
Community members praised jessilyncupcake’s mask, with one commenter calling it an ingenious tool that could probably fend off thescary mannequins in theSilent Hill 2remake. Another user quipped that a big pizza cutter would go well with the mask. Jessilyncupcake, whose post has managed to garner close to 6,000 upvotes, explained that they had a group cosplay photoshoot next week and that the headpiece was for their partner.
This is not the first time a Pyramid Head mask made out of pizza boxes has appeared online. In 2019,Tumblr user jrodorrshared a costume that featured such a headpiece, a bloody apron, and a large peel, the tool used to place pizzas in an oven. Fans like Reddit user Xeno_Rider have alsocosplayed asSilent Hill’s Pyramid Headwithout the silly pizza box mask.
On October 25, Bloober Team dropped theSilent Hill 2remake’s latest update, which addressed a bug that affected the rotating cube puzzle found in the Unreal Engine 5-powered title’s Labyrinth level. The 1.05 patch for 2024’sSilent Hill 2also added support for Steam cloud saves.
