Dead Rising Deluxe Remasteris the return of the cult classic zombie slaying franchise. Long-time fans of the series can expect all the zany comedy and strangeness of the original. There’s also a slew of new improvements and tweaks for players looking tosurvive Capcom’s unique zombie apocalypsefor the first time.
Solving all the story cases and returning to the helipad on Day 3 opens up Overtime Mode. You must beat this mode to see the true ending of the game and learn the real story behind the outbreak. You’ll need to find five queens for Isabela to progress. This is harder in Overtime Mode. Follow this guide to learn how to find queens in the mall.
Queen Infected Zombies
There is a cutscene that explains the queens towards the end of Day One.Frank nearly gets stungby an evil-looking wasp in the warehouse. When he smashes it, all the zombies in his vicinity fall over and die with their heads literally exploding. If you’ve missed this cutscene, queen-infected zombies will populate the mall after this point. These zombies will stand in place with their hands up in the air. Taking a picture of them will be considered an “outtake.” Keep an eye out for the glowing red wasps at the base of their necks and a buzzing sound. Kill the zombie and the queen will fly in place. Press Circle/B to put the queen in a jar in Frank’s inventory. You can then smash the jar to kill all the zombies near Frank.
Find Five Queens For Isabella
After you’ve gathered all the necessary materials for Isabela to make a cure, she’ll ask Frank to find five queens. Once you’ve found one, you must return it to her at Carlito’s hideout in the North Plaza.
This will be difficult at thispoint in Overtime Mode.TheSpecial Forcessoldiers occupying the mall will have eliminated most of the zombies. Areas like the Leisure Park will be completely cleared out. Some stores and plazas will also be filled with Special Forces soldiers who can quickly eliminate Frank.
North Plaza Queen Spawns
Your best bet is to stay close to the hideout in theNorth Plaza.There aren’tmany Special Forces soldiersin the area. Kill them carefully in one-on-one situations. They willnotrespawn as long as you don’t leave the area. Zombies will constantly respawn, however.
Head to the center of the North Plaza near theCD Crazy Store.Look for a small group of zombies near the skylight. A queen-infected zombie should spawn. Check the under-construction hall across from the CD store for another group with a queen.
You can use the motorcycle near the grocery store to drive around the area and cause more zombies to respawn. Keep an eye out for the flashlights of the Special Forces soldiers to avoid them. Patrol the area until you get five queens.
