The first dungeon ever to be released on both contest and normal mode on the first day inDestiny 2, Vesper’s Host is a bit of an anomaly. The activity takes players to the orbit of Europa, into the remains of a broken, old Bray space station that might look awfully familiar to those whohave played the Deep Stone Crypt raid. And when it comes to that raid in particular, there are many similarities between the two activities, starting off at the first encounter.
Images were acquired during contest mode, but the normal mode of the first encounter does not have the enrage timer.

Bank Three Nuclear Cores In The Back Of The Arena
The goal of the encounter is tocollect three nuclear cores and bank them in three deposits found at the back of the arena(behind the giant white orb on the floor). They can be found inside the rooms branching off from the main arena, their doorways marked by a yellow brain, a blue lung, and a red heart.
The encounter begins with a brig and enemies spawning in. Wipe them out, and one of them will dropthe Scanner Protocol. One player should pick it up. The lights above the three doors around the arena will start to flash red. Enter any of them as a team, and kill enemies as you proceed to the end.
Each doorway will lead to a slightly different room, but the principle and the contents will always be the same:two large Fallen mini-bosses, which must be defeated. Players will also find the Operator Protocol. It should be picked up by another player, while the third without a role defends against waves of enemies.Note that these Protocols, unlike the Deep Stone Crypt ones, are timed. When they expire, the player holding them will die. If your timer is low, bank the protocol into one of the terminals and pick it back up to refresh the timer.
The player holding Scanner shouldlook at their radar at the top left of the screen to find blinking, yellow symbols as they walk around the chamber. These symbols are actually the keypads around the rooms that the Operator player needs to shoot.
When Scanners approach each keypad, a sound will play, and the radar will be updated. If the yellow mark turns white, the Operator needs to shoot that specific keypad.Four keypads must be shot per room.
Doing this willdrop a nuclear core. Pick it up, and bring it back to the starting room to bank it.Keep an eye on the radiation levelwhile carrying a core, as at stack 10x of Radiation, players will die. The fireteam should keep passing the core to one another, and it can even be dropped to the ground for a few seconds without repercussions.
More enemies and another brig will have spawned into the room.Kill them to open up the nuclear core banking stations, which will initially be protected by a blue shield. Now the round begins again, and players must enter through another doorway, kill the enemies, pick up the Scanner and Operator Protocols, and shoot the right keypads to spawn a nuclear core. After the final core is acquired, a gigantic brig will spawn. The encounter is completed when all three cores are banked.
