This year, players got the unexpectedcollab betweenDestiny 2andDungeons and Dragons, which added sets of themed armor for players to equip on their Guardians. For sci-fi fans, Bungie’s title has also teamed up withMass Effect, releasing armor sets inspired by Garrus, Shepard, and T’Soni.
Now, aDestiny 2leak teases that the game’s next crossover will be withStreet Fighter. On Twitter, auser called Bungie_Leaks shared imagesrevealing that there are newGhost Shellsstylized as Ryu, Chun-Li, and Cammy. As well as being able to customize their Ghosts, a leak fromTwitter user JpDeathBladereveals a Blanka mask which, according to him, will cost 800 silver and all three classes will be able to use. Other information reveals the potential existence ofStreet Fighter-themed finishers called Hadouken, Lightning Kick, and Spinning Bird Kick, a reference to Ryu and Chun-Li’s moves, and an emblem called World Warrior.
Street Fighter Also Has a Long History of Crossovers
WhileDestiny 2has a significant history of collaborations, it’s no different with theStreet Fighterfranchise, which has accumulated team-ups inside and outside the gaming world. One of the best-remembered examples isMarvel Vs. Capcomgames, pitting characters from Capcom franchises such asStreet Fighteragainst Marvel heroes and villains. Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, Sakura, and Blanka made surprise appearances inFortnite, with the World Warriors appearing in titles such asBrawlhalla,Fall Guys, andMagic: The Gathering.
At the time of writing, there is no additional information, such as when theStreet Fightercontent will come toDestiny 2, or if there are more items, such as armor sets based on the characters.
