Summary
ADestiny 2player online has made clever use of in-game customization options to transform their Titan into the Night King fromGame of Thrones. Over seven years after its launch,Destiny 2retains a dedicated community that continues to create new things in-game.
In the years sinceDestiny 2’s release, Guardian fashion has become more of a thing among the community. Bungie has added more customization options over the years, which has only made gamers curious about what’s possible in the game. Some players just want to create the coolest-looking Guardian possible, which is fair enough, but some of the most striking creations pay homage to other franchises. There was even oneDestiny 2player who made their Guardian look just like Frodo fromLord of the Rings, showing the variation in characters that gamers are making.
Redditor aBlokeWithaGoat shared their epic Night King creation with theDestiny 2fashioncommunity online, and it’s undeniably awesome. It’s based on the Night King’s appearance in the iconicGame of Thronesepisode “Hardhome,” with a picture of the villain included for reference. Everything from the armor to the color of the armor is spot on, and it even has an icy sheen to it. Perhaps most impressive is the small horns on theDestiny 2helmet, which looks just like the horns featured on the Night King. User aBlokeWithaGoat made all the right choices here, with one player claiming they “ate and left no crumbs.”
The Destiny 2 Guardian Looks Just Like Game of Thrones' Night King
Luckily, aBlokeWithaGoat didn’t leave gamers in the dark as to how they brought the Night King to life as a Titan inDestiny 2. They shared all the armor pieces they used for this piece of Guardian fashion, which are as follows: Helm of the Taken King, Augmented Auspice, Iron Pledge Ornament, Veiled Tithes Greaves, and Gensym Knight Mark. Obviously, the colors are important too, and aBlokeWithaGoat also shared theDestiny 2ornamentsneeded to bring this in line with the Night King’s appearance.
With it being so long since the release ofDestiny 2, it remains to be seen whether Bungie will develop another mainline title in the series. It’s somewhat surprising it hasn’t happened already, given its enduring popularity. Recently, aDestinymobile game was revealed by studio NetEasetitledDestiny: Rising, but it’s unlikely this will placate players looking for a fully-fledged sequel. Layoffs at Bungie a few months back led to much speculation about the series in general, but it’s too early to tell what the future holds.
