Bungie reveals all the exotic weapon changes coming in Episode: Revenant forDestiny 2, including adding the promised Choir of One tweaks. With only days left to go before the launch of the next majorDestiny 2episode, Bungie has revealed the most new information regarding the Scorn-themed update that’s launching on October 8.

In fact, this week gave fans the best look at Revenant yet, asBungie held a newDestiny 2developer showcasefor the approaching episode. During the stream, Bungie revealed more of the story for Episode: Revenant, confirming the return of characters like Mithrax and Eido to help assist the player as they go up against Fikrul’s scorn army. Players will be able to craft potions for limited time bonuses, take part in an all-new Onslaught activity, and take on the Vesper’s Host dungeon. In addition to new weapons and armor, this Episodic update is also bringing with it major changes to the game’s sandbox, including many of its existing exotic weapons.

The highlight of these exotic changes for most players will likely be with the exotic auto rifle Choir of One. Added through thenewestDestiny 2exotic mission within Episode: Echoes, Choir of One became an instant fan favorite thanks to its high DPS output and dual firing modes. However, Bungie warnedDestiny 2players about upcoming Choir of One changes, and with Episode: Revenant, those nerfs will be realized. Bungie is reducing the Choir of One’s base and max reserves (now 200 and 300 respectively) while also reducing the impact damage at point-blank range by 50%. However, for PvP players, Bungie is buffing the weapon slightly so that hip-firing against players will get a 10% damage boost and will now start with and gain seven ammo when opening crates or picking up bricks.

Destiny 2: Episode Revenant Exotic Weapon Changes

However, Choir of One isn’t the only exotic to receive changes inside ofDestiny 2’s Episode: Revenant update. Bungie listed the following weapons along with the changes they will be receiving on October 8:

Fully reloads on kills. Catalyst replaced with Kinetic Tremors.

Tarrabah

With Raenous Beast active, players gain Solar damage resistance (50% PvE / 15% PvP)

Symmetry

Gains a stack of Dynamic Charge on kills in addition to precision hits.

Duality

Black Wings max effect bonus stack reduced from 5 to 3. Buff duration extended to 10 seconds.

Bad Juju

String of Curses lifetime increased to 5.5 seconds (7.5 with catalyst) and the magazine size has increased to 36. Bungie also teased that the weapon is now more haunted than it used to be.

Ex Diris

Direct hit damage increased by 33%, an extra 5 ammo in reserves, a moth spawns on 2 direct hits with the cooldown reduced to 3 seconds. In addition, the camera recoil effect when firing has been reduced by 50%, projectile speed velocity has increased and projectile gravity has been reduced.

Now spawns a volatile burst (void damage) on direct hits.

Chaperone

Can trigger Roadborn on two rapid precision hits and extend the duration by three seconds with precision hits. Base ammo reserves has been increased. Roadborn also gives the weapon +20 stability and +25% reload speed.

Prospector

Spawns three powerful cluster bombs on detonation dealing substantially more damage per shot over a much larger area. Mag size has been reduced to 6 and the catalyst now gives the weapon +50 to reload speed instead of bonus ammo reserves. Bungie also removed sticky grenade, flame grenade, and remote detonation function.

Lumina

Hip fire projectiles now behave similar to support auto rifle healing shots.

Alongside these weapon changes, Bungie previously detailedmajorDestiny 2ability changesto most subclasses. Specifically, most roaming supers received some sort of buff to help make them more viable compared to the high damage burst supers which have become popular. Certain abilities are also getting improved like the Lightning Surge aspect for Warlocks and Hailfire Spike grenades for Prismatic Hunter.
