Bungie releases Update 8.1.0.3 forDestiny 2alongside the weekly reset, bringing back the Halloween-inspired Festival of the Lost event while also addressing various issues impacting the game. Even as Episode: Revenant enters its down period before the arrival of Act 2, Bungie is making sureDestiny 2players have plenty to do in the meantime.
As players learn, Festival of the Lost has returned for a limited time, though this year’s version of the Halloween-inspired event has a few new wrinkles to it. For most players, the big news is that for the first time since The Final Shape launched,Destiny 2’s exotic class items are now available for all players, regardless if Dual Destiny has been completed or not. For Final Shape owners, they just need 1 Eerie Engram and 2,500 candy pieces to trade with Eva. Doing so unlocks the items at Xur as well as Overthrow chests in the Pale Heart.
Alongside theDestiny 2Weekly Reset, Bungie released Update 8.1.0.3, which officially kicked off Festival of the Lost. The content sees the return of Haunted Sectors as well as the Book of the Forgotten, as well as giving players another opportunity to unlock the Twilight Memento Triumph. In addition to featuring new perk rolls for Mechabre, Jurassic Green, Breytech Werewolf, and Acosmic, players can also earn the new Arcane Embrace, a 2 shot Heavy Burst Arc Shotgun.
Besides the new seasonal event, the update also makes various adjustments and improvements to the core game, fixing issues withDestiny 2’s Seasonal Artifact, Onslaught Salvation, Episode: Revenant specific missions, as well as Vesper’s Host and Salvation’s Edge. Bungie has not only confirmed this issue but is aiming to fix it on November 5, also rewarding players for thier diligence in finding it with unique emblems and opportunities to earn weapons with rare perks.
