Bungie decided to disable these items forDestiny 2’s Dungeon Race, a challenge designed to put players' abilities to the test in the new Vesper’s Host dungeon. Some of the key items being disabled for this event include the Shadowshot (Moebius Quiver) for Hunters, Peacekeepers Exotic Leg Armor for Titans, and weapons like the Wardcliff Coil Exotic Rocket Launcher and One Thousand Voices Exotic Fusion Rifle. Other weapons, such as Alethonym, Salvation’s Grip, and Tomorrow’s Answer, are also affected. Bungie has mentioned that once the issues with these items are resolved, they’ll be re-enabled for all players throughout the game.
However, in a follow-up post, Bungie let players know that there’s a problem causing some weapons that were supposed to be disabled in the Vesper’s Host Contest Mode to still be usable. While players diving intoDestiny 2’s Episode Revenantcan go ahead and use these weapons, doing so might lead to Guitar errors, which are connection issues that can result in the game crashing or disconnecting.
It’s not uncommon for Bungie to disable certainweapons inDestiny 2when potential exploits or game-breaking mechanics are discovered, especially during big events like the Dungeon Race. If players have these items equipped, their Power level will decrease because those items will no longer contribute to their overall Power score once they’re disabled.
Vesper’s Host, which is part of the Episode Revenant update, introduces a new challenge for players. This dungeon is in an old BrayTech station orbiting Europa, which is full of mystery and danger. Guardians will explore the station, find dark secrets and strange messages, and fight enemies in a tough environment. Unfortunately, while Bungie works on fixing issues with some items, players will have to tackle the challenges of Vesper’s Host without the help of a few powerful tools.
