The first new class added toDiablo 4since it launched is the Spiritborn. Included with theVessel of HatredDLC, theSpiritborn class feels incredibleto play thanks to a variety of synergies and playstyles that are available to the class. In fact, almost every build for the Spiritborn class is competitive at high Torment levels – but some builds take advantage of the Spiritborn class strengths to really push it to its limit.

These best Spiritborn builds are ranked from least to most effective, but they are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Spiritborn builds. While leveling, it’s a good idea to try to make your ownbuild as you level a Spiritbornto learn the class and what you like about it, then swap over to try one of these top tier Spiritborn builds once you reach endgame and are able to put together the pieces necessary to make them work.

Diablo 4 Best Spiritborn Builds Jaguar Thorns

Required Uniques

Loyalty’s Mantle, Wound Drinker, Razorplate

The Jaguar Thorns build is a unique Spiritborn build inDiablo 4that relies on building Thorns damage, enhancing your survivability, applying Vulnerable nearly endlessly, and generating Unstoppable all the time. The build requires the Razorplate unique to be at its most effective, but this serves as a great leveling and endgame build both.

Compared to other Spiritborn builds it doesn’t quite compareat high Torment levels, but it’s fun and effective (and perfectly able to complete high Torment content, just not as fast).

Diablo 4 Best Spiritborn Builds Payback

Though it’s ranked last on this list of the best Spiritborn buildsDiablo 4, the Jaguar Thorns Spiritborn build is still miles ahead of many other class' builds, even challenging some of the top non-Spiritborn builds in certain content.

Plains Power, Hectic, Combined Strikes, Moonrise

Loyalty’s Mantle, Rod of Kepeleke, Flickerstep, Ring of the Midnight Sun

The Payback build is a combination between the Gorilla and Jaguar Spirit Hall abilities that has high actions per minute but is able to put out some of the most consistent, highest damage numbers – when you have all the pieces. This build relies on the Rod of Kepeleke to trigger the 3rd attack of Thrash and boost Rakewhile generating CCwith Gorilla abilities. The eponymous Payback skill is the centerpiece of this build. This Potency Skill allows players to retaliate for an enormous chunk of damage on a cooldown which lowers when you are hit by enemies.

Diablo 4 Best Spiritborn Builds Touch of Death

With this build, you are able to leap into hordes of enemies and hold your own as you rotate between cooldowns and tear through everything in your path. Just ensure that you have the Jaguar/Jaguar Spirit Hall, the Loyalty’s Mantle Unique Helm, and the Rod of Kepeleke, before trying to make this build – it’s not quite as good while leveling as it has the potential to be at endgame with the right gear.

3Touch of Death

Required Skills

Touch of Death, Withering Fist, Scourge, Vortex, The Hunter, Toxic Skin

Soil Power, Insatiable, Duelist’s, Reaper’s, Plains Power

Ring of the Midday Hunt, Scorn of the Earth, Harmony of Ebewaka, Craze of the Dead God

The Touch of Death Spiritborn build is becoming one of the most popular Spiritborn builds inDiablo 4after the Eagle Evade bug fix. This buildrelies on the Touch of Death skillthat deals an enormous amount of Poison damage over time and bursts to infect nearby enemies.

Diablo 4 Best Spiritborn Builds Eagle Evade

The build is undeniably squishy thanks to its focus on Centipede abilities over the more tanky Gorilla skills, but it makes up for that with great healing in Scourge, almost unparalleled AoE damage, and a rotation that’s engaging without being overwhelming.

This build relies on the Craze of the Dead God and Ring of the Midday Hunt uniques, which automatically cast Touch of Death and greatly reduce the time it takes for Poison damage to tick, respectively.

Diablo 4 Best Spiritborn Builds Quill Volley

Like the Payback build, this is trickier to level with than the latter two best Spiritborn builds in this list, but at endgame it easily competes with these top contenders high-tier content in Torment 4. It’s justslightlyless effective, but if you don’t like the Quill Volley or Evade builds, the Touch of Death build might be what you’re looking for when choosing a Spiritborn build.

Sepazontec, Loyalty’s Mantle, Penitent Greaves

TheSpiritborn Eagle Evade build was easily the bestbuild inDiablo 4for the first few weeks of theVessel of Hatredand D4 Season 6 release. But after a hotfix that sorted out a bug that caused Evade to ignore the normal cooldown, allowing players to infinitely spam the ability non-stop and cause slowdowns for other players, it’s somewhat dropped in power.

However, the Spiritborn Evade build is still an incredibly strong build for all aspects ofDiablo 4, even after this nerf to its main mechanic.

Diablo 4 Tag Page Cover Art

With the Sepazontec unique Quarterstaff, your Thunderspike basic skill always casts with its 3rd cast effect, which just so happens to completely reset your Evade cooldown. Because of the Accelerated Thunderspike node, when you Evade you will automatically cast Thunderspike at nearby enemies.

So, when you Evade, your Evade automatically resets. With the Eagle Spirit Hall you send out Feathers towards enemies when you Evade, causing immense damageand causing Vulnerable.

If you can get the required Uniques and Aspects, and don’t mind playing a build that constantly moves and blasts projectiles all over your screen, the Eagle Evade build is truly one of the most broken-feeling builds inDiablo 4. But after the recent nerfs, the Quill Volley build reigns supreme as the best Spiritborn build currently available inDiablo 4.

Moonrise, Duelist’s, Apprehension, Interdiction, Redirected Force

Rod of Kepeleke, Ring of the Midnight Sun, Jacinth Shell, Harmony of Ebewaka

The Quill Volley build is one that requires a lot from players to be effective, but if you have all the parts, you can easily push Torment 4 content while barely making a sweat. Quill Volley is a Core skill that, with the right Aspects and Uniques to enhance it, becomes a machine gun that deals some ofhighest consistent DPS of any buildin the game.

For Uniques, you need the Rod of Kepeleke, the Harmony of Ebewaka, the Jacinth Shell, and the Ring of the Midnight Sun for this build to come together. These essentially restore your HP and Vigor enough to get the highest effect from the Rod of Kepeleke and avoid the negative effects of the Jacinth Shell to restore your cooldowns rapidly. Hold down the Quill Volley button at your enemies, press other buttons when they come up to boost your damage and survivability, and use The Hunter to get around – the build is so powerful on its own that it uses an Ultimateprimarily as a movement ability.

This build has a very high APM, no doubt, but your reward for mastering its constant flow of casts and bonuses is the most defensive, most damaging, and the current overall best buildDiablo 4players can have – let alone the best Spirirborn build inD4.
