There are a handful ofnew unique itemsDiablo 4adds with theVessel of Hatredcampaign, including options that are uniquely available to the Spiritborn class. Some of these unique are build-defining, and necessary to take some of the best Spiritborn builds to the next level.
The Rod of Kepeleke is one of the best new Spiritborn uniques inDiablo 4because it lets you cast Core Skills for free, with a slight drawback that is overcome by its secondary effect. It’s the best uniquefor several Spiritborn builds, but to get it, you will have to get to max level and start farming one of two possible Rod of Kepeleke sources.
Secondary Affixes (Ancestral)
The Rod of Kepeleke isa UniqueDiablo 4Quarterstaffthat is only available to the Spiritborn class. When equipped, it will add the Basic Skill tag to your Core Skills, which will now benefit from all effects and affixes that affect Basic Skills. Additionally, all of your Basic Skills (now including Core Skills) have no resource cost, but deal less damage based on their normal Vigor Cost.
This is a bit of a hefty downside forRod of Kepeleke builds, but the second effect negates it almost completely. This is because if you have Max Vigor when you use a Core Skill, that Core Skill will instead consumeallof your Vigor and deal a rolled percentage of extra Crit damage for every Vigor spent.
The Rod of Kepeleke is an essential part of the Quill Volley Spiritborn build inDiablo 4, as it lets players spam Quill Volley while maintaining nearly 100% Vigor at all times (from other effects) to maximize damage for every cast.
When it comes to Rod of Kepeleke stats and affixes, Attack Speed and Block Chance are guaranteed, but Damage per Hit, and the Crit Damage, Max Vigor, Velocity ranks, and Chance For Core Skills To Hit Twice will berolled when the item drops. Additionally, the increased Crit Damage when you spend all of your Vigor to boost a Core Skill cast rolls from 1% to 3% per point.
How To Get Rod of Kepeleke in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred
