Summary
Blizzard has announced that the damage bonuses from the Main Stats introduced inDiablo 4Season 5 will be reverted to their previous values, which will change the core stat system for most classes. This update was confirmed in the extensiveDiablo 4update 2.0.1/2.0.2 patch notes, which are scheduled to be released on October 7.
Diablo 4is the latest game in Blizzard’s well-known action-RPG series, bringing back a darker and more intense style. The story is set in a world being destroyed by demonic invasions and the return of the demon Lilith.Diablo 4keeps growing with its newest update,Vessel of Hatred, which is coming out on October 8. This update adds a new area, a new class, and new features. BeforeVessel of Hatredis released, Blizzard has scheduled a patch to address some issues.
InDiablo 4Patch 1.5.0, every class except the Barbarian received significant boosts to their Main Stat, which led to higher skill damage. But in Season 6, these bonuses will be reduced back to what they were before Season 5. For example, the Druid’s skill damage will now require 10 points of their core stat for a 1% increase, instead of the previous 8 points. The same goes for Necromancers and Sorcerers, while the Rogue’s bonus will also revert to needing 10 points per 1% increase, up from 9 points in Season 5.
Diablo 4 Rolls Back Season 5’s Buffed Main Stat Bonuses
Along with rolling back the stat changes, Patch 2.0.1/2.0.2 brings several other updates to improve the game before therelease ofDiablo 4’sVessel of Hatredexpansion. This includes adjusting the values of legendary aspect affixes, which will now differ between Ancestral and Non-Ancestral items. The higher affix values will only be found on Ancestral items, making them more valuable for endgame players.
Runewords have also been revamped, with balance tweaks made to several Magic and Rare Runes. For example, the Rune of Ritual now provides greater bonuses when certain conditions are met, such as casting non-channeled skills or dodging attacks.Diablo 4’s Infernal Hordes eventhas also been improved, offering better loot rewards and a smoother experience. Players can now expect guaranteed legendary items with Infernal Hordes affixes, and Ancestral items will drop more often, addressing previous complaints about the event’s lack of rewarding loot.
Additionally, this patch includes several fixes for all platforms that improve the User Interface and User Experience, as well as boost performance, visuals, and stability. As players await the release ofDiablo 4Season 6, it remains to be seen how the change to damage bonuses from the Main Stats will affect gameplay.
