Summary

Disney Dreamlight Valleyis bringing back trick-or-treating for the third consecutive year. The annual holiday event will offer exclusive seasonal rewards for players and is set to begin on October 23, bringing back one ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s most beloved seasonal activities since its Early Access launch in September 2022.

Just two days ago, the game’s official social media page and website had announced ahuge update forDisney Dreamlight Valleycoming October 9, with the release of Jungle Getaway, an update to the game that will include the addition of fan-favoriteThe Lion Kingcharacters Timon and Pumbaa, along with a collection of quests centered around them. That update will also launch a new Star Path based on rock concerts, complete with themed furniture items. But despite the early-October timing of that announcement, no mention had been made of any Halloween-themed content returning to or making its debut this month.

A more recent release from the game’s social media team has rectified that, announcing that theDisney Dreamlight ValleyTrick-or-Treat in-game eventwill be returning from October 23-31. If the event follows similar rules to the version released last year, players will be tasked with preparing candy from cocoa beans, sugarcane, and vanilla, and offering it to at least 10 other valley residents. While the 2023 event rewarded players who successfully completed it with a Mickey Mouse Pumpkin furniture item, the special item up for grabs in 2024 is Mickey’s Halloween Candy Bowl, which the Nintendo website showed off in a fresh video.

Trick-or-Treat Returns to Disney Dreamlight Valley for 2024

Past trick-or-treat events have also let players get their hands on some other spooky-looking rewards by completing event-themed villager tasks. For example, in previous years, players could earn a Pumpkin Stack furniture item by harvesting 100 pumpkins during the event’s timeframe orfeast on a three-course meal ofDisney Dreamlight ValleyHalloween candyto earn the Green Trick or Treater’s Bounty candy bucket. Gameloft hasn’t yet commented on what tasks or rewards players can expect to see this Halloween season, but they’re likely to make a comeback alongside trick-or-treating.

While the new reward shown in the recent video from Nintendo should giveDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers something to look forward to, it was actually put together to highlight several October offerings on the Switch. These includenew game releases likeSonic X Shadow Generationson October 25 and spooky seasonal events in other games likeDisney Speedstorm,Pokemon Unite,Just Dance 2025 Edition, andStar Wars Hunters.
