However, playingDragon Age: The Veilguardmay require some PC players to upgrade a few components. According totheDragon Agedevelopment journal, the minimum specifications required to play the game at 1080p and 30 frames per second (FPS) are an AMD Ryzen 3 3300X or Intel Core i5-8400 processor with an Nvidia GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card. Stepping up to the recommended specifications will require players to have an Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 37000X 8-core processor, alongside an RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU. The ultra settings forDragon Age: The Veilguardrequire an i9-12900K or Ryzen 9 7950X 16-core processor along with an RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU. Totake advantage of ray tracing, BioWare stated that an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT along with an 8-Core CPU would be required for the RT Selective setting, which enables ray tracing in specific areas.

The average performance estimates from EA and BioWare took into account upscaling options such as FSR and DLSS. Aside from the minimum listed specifications,Dragon Age: The Veilguardrequires 100GB of free space on a solid-state drive (SSD) and 16GB of RAM across the board.
