Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZEROalready featuresover 180 characters at launch. However, for those who want more, the game’s season pass will further expand the roster, with playable characters fromDragon Ball DaimaandDragon Ball Super: Super Heroset to arrive in the six months or so following the game’s release.
As of the time of writing, it’s unclear which characters will be added as part of theDragon Ball: Sparking! ZEROseason pass, although release windows for the game’s first three DLC packs have now been confirmed. Those looking to find out more should keep an eye on this page, as we’ll update it as and when new information comes to light.
Updated June 27, 2025, by Tom Bowen:There’s still no word on when exactly the second Daima DLC expansion pack will be dropping, although Sparking! ZERO fans do at least have something to be excited about.Bandai Namco just announced that Shallot will be joining the game’s roster on June 26, with Season Pass owners gaining access to the popular Dragon Ball Legends character 72 hours earlier on June 23. Hopefully, this will be enough to tide players over until the rest of the Daima content is ready for release, whenever that may be.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Season Pass Release Schedule
According to information provided by Bandai Namco on the game’s Steam page,Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERODLC will be broken up into three packs. The first will be based on the 2022 movieDragon Ball Super: Super Hero, while the second and third Season Pass packs will feature characters fromDragon Ball Daima, which was the last newDragon Ballproject thatseries creator Akira Toriyamaworked on before his untimely death. All three packs are scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025, with the first two coming in Q1 and the third arriving at some point during the following quarter.

Hero of Justice Pack
The Hero of Justice pack contains 11 playable characters (see below), as well as the Red Ribbon Army Disguise costume for Piccolo and three new Custom Battles.
Dragon Ball Daima - Character Pack 1
The firstDragon Ball Daimacharacter pack introduces eight new playable characters (see below) and a new technique-switching outfit for Goku (Mini).
Dragon Ball Daima - Character Pack 2
There’s still no word on which characters will be included in the finalDragon Ball: Sparking! ZERODLC pack, although the following seem like the most likely candidates:
How Much Does the Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Season Pass Cost?
Players can purchase theDragon Ball: Sparking! ZEROSeason Passseparately for $34.99. Alternatively, they can buy either the Deluxe ($99.99) or Ultimate ($109.99) edition of the game, both of which come bundled with the game’s first season pass. The deluxe edition is arguably the better value deal, as in addition to saving themselves $5 when compared to buying the game and the season pass on their own, players will also gain access to the DLC three days earlier than everybody else.
