In June, Techland gaveDying Light 2players the opportunity to try out the beta version of a new activity called Tower Raid. The mode, which was inspired by thepopular zombie shooter’sVNC Tower mission, essentially turned the game into a roguelike experience that rewarded people with loot for reaching the end of a dungeon - in this case, a skyscraper. Many found Tower Raid to be a fun and challenging activity, but it was ultimately removed after the beta period ended. Techland, however, has brought the mode back toDying Light 2via a recently released patch.
The 1.19 update forDying Light 2that went live on October 30 introduces Tower Raid: Halloween Run, a version of the beloved activity that is based on everyone’s favorite annual celebration involving costumes, treats, and scares. This iteration features a new final boss, three additional floor types, and a set of Halloween-themed characters that people can play as. Each character has a unique loadout, trait, and playstyle, makingDying Light 2feel more like amodern class-based shooterthan a zombie survival game. Scarecrow, for example, has a larger pool of health, while Van Aiden deals more ranged damage.
