While other games are certainly trying desperately to follow in its footsteps,Fortniteis still the king of pop-culture collaboration in the gaming world. From popular franchises likeStar Wars, DC, and Marvel, to gigantic brands like LEGO, to musical artists like Metallica,Fortnite’s crossovers know no limitations. No crossover is off the cards inFortnite, and that now seems to extend to beloved Pixar characters.

Debuting in 2004,The Incrediblesis arguably one ofthe best Pixar movies of all time, delivering a thrilling superhero adventure with plenty of trademark Pixar heart at its core. A month ago, during Disney’s D23 Expo, developer Epic Games announced that threeIncrediblescharacters were coming toFortnitesoon. That day has finally arrived.

Fortnite’s Incredibles Crossover Is Opening The Floodgates

Fortnitehas dipped its toes into Disney’s waters many times over the last seven years. One of the first major collaborations inFortnitewas anAvengers: Infinity Warevent that saw players briefly becomethe Mad Titan Thanos. Since then, Marvel has remained a consistent source forFortnitecollab skins and events, with two entire seasons of the game being themed around the comic book franchise.

Star Warshas also appeared frequently inFortniteover the last few years, with characters from across the franchise’s long history appearing in the game as outfits. A handful of other Disney-related skins have also found their way over toFortniterecently, such as last year’s Jack SkellingtonNightmare Before Christmasskin that was released as part ofthe Fortnitemares Halloween event, and the much more recentPirates of the Caribbeanbundle that appeared back in July.

But with the recent release ofFortnite’sIncrediblescrossover, it seems likely the floodgates have been opened for future Pixar collaborations. Though nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, fans could see more Pixar-themed outfits inFortnitein the near future, possibly fromfranchises likeMonsters Inc.andToy Story. This seems even more likely given that Disney announced back in February that it was investing $1.5 billion into Epic Games to build an “entertainment universe” connected toFortnite.

It’s already been confirmed that classic Disney villains like Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella de Vil are coming toFortnitebefore the end of the year, and fans will probably be seeing a lot more from Disney and Pixar inFortnitesoon.
