Summary
NewGenshin Impactleaks have revealed extensive information about one of the upcoming characters, the Anemo user Chasca. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that Chasca will be featured on the Limited Character Banner in the nextGenshin Impactupdate, Version 5.2.
Chasca is not the only announced character, as she will be joined by Ororon, who is rumored to have a lower four-star rarity. However, the announcement did not confirm whether the two will appear on the same banner cycle. This means Version 5.2 will also feature re-runs for three older characters, one of whom is expected to be an Archon.
Chasca has already made multiple in-game appearances in Natlan’s main storyline. She was first introduced during the “A Name Forged in Flames” teaser, which also revealed many other Natlan characters, most of whom are expected to join the playable roster in the foreseeable future. A newposton theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit has revealed further details about Chasca’s kit. According to the leak, Chasca’s Elemental Skill deals AoE Anemo damage and allows her to enter the Nightsoul state. Similar to the Ousia and Pneuma mechanics in Fontaine, the Nightsoul mechanic seems to be exclusive toGenshin Impact’s Natlan characters. During the Nightsoul Blessing state, Chasca will consume Nightsoul points, which will continue until they are depleted or she uses her skill again.
Genshin Impact 5.2: Chasca Kit Explained
The Nightsoul Blessing state allows Chasca to ride the “Spectral Spear: Ritual Staff,” making her hover above the ground and gain increased movement speed and interruption resistance, similar toGenshin Impact’s Wanderer. Chasca will perform “multi-aim” attacks when using Normal or Charged Attacks. Tapping her Normal Attack will cause her to deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage to enemies. Using the Charged Attack will make Chasca load her weapon and target multiple enemies. After loading, she can fire up to six bolts at the targets.
Chasca’s Elemental Burst makes her fire additional bolts, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo damage. Upon reaching their targets, these bolts split into smaller particles, dealing damage to nearby enemies. The soulseeker bolt damage will be converted into different types of elemental damage, depending on Chasca’s party members. Given that both her skill and burst are highly offensive, it suggests that Chasca will be a newDPS character inGenshin Impact.
It should be noted that Chasca’s official release is still at least six weeks away, meaning that HoYoverse has plenty of time to make adjustments to her kit. Based on the usual update schedule, Travelers can expectGenshin ImpactVersion 5.2to drop around November 20.
