Summary
Genshin Impactofficially revealed two new playable characters that will join the roster in the upcoming update 5.2. It’s safe to say thatGenshin Impactcharacters are the focal point of every new update since they are HoYoverse’s main source of revenue due to the gacha-based system.
For a while now,Genshin Impacthas been following a pattern of introducing at least one playable character per update. The recent addition of the Natlan region has revealed tons of new characters, most of whom are expected to join the playable roster in the foreseeable future.
Genshin Impact’s official Twitter account has finally revealed the two characters that will join the playable roster in update 5.2. According to a recent post,Genshin ImpactVersion 5.2will feature Chasca and Ororon. Chasca is expected to be a new five-star character, while Ororon will likely have a lower four-star rarity. Chasca has already made multiple appearances in the Natlan storyline, and she’s confirmed to be a new Anemo character. Her official introduction gave her the title of Skyborne Arbiter, and she’s also known as the Peacemaker of the Tlalocan. The Flower-Feather Clan, also known as the Tlalocan, is one of the six tribes in Natlan.
Genshin Impact Confirms Chasca and Ororon for Version 5.2
Ororon, who also goes by the title Shadow of the Night-Wind, is a mysterious character who belongs to the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. Since his reveal, fans have been suspicious about Ororon and his role in Natlan’s main storyline. Multiple fan theories have been suggesting that he could be one ofGenshin Impact’s Harbingersdue to his ties with Capitano. However, the chances of Ororon being a Harbinger are slim considering that multiple leaks hinted at his four-star rarity. Every Harbinger that joined the roster so far has been a five-star character.
When it comes to the characters' power on the field, there is still not a lot of official information. RecentGenshin Impactleaks have revealed that Chasca will be aDPS character inGenshin Impact. Her kit has been described as a combination of Wanderer and Clorinde. Chasca will use gunshots as part of her kit, similar to Clorinde. Her Anemo powers will also make her float in the air, similar to how Wanderer uses his Elemental Skill.
Natlan’s exclusive Nightsoul point system is also expected to be part of both characters’s kits. Ororon’s in-game appearances have confirmed that he is a newElectro character inGenshin Impact, and leaks have suggested that he will have a much more supportive role. However, these rumors need to be taken with a grain of salt and players will have to wait for the 5.2 beta to get more credible information.
