A new report byTrueTrophies and GameInsightshas revealed that the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 player count forGhost of Tsushimawas boosted by a surprising 53.7%. EvenGhost of Tsushima Director’s Cuton PC’s player count has been doubled. There are likely two reasons why the player count for the game suddenly jumped. For starters, fans who enjoyed the series want to get their feet wet again before jumping intoGhost of Yotei.Alternatively, players interested in the new installment are likely eager to learn more about the series and have decided to jump in.
Ghost of Tsushima Player Counts Are Up on Console and PC
Ghost of Yoteitakes place 300 years after its predecessor. Several differences have already been revealed, including new weapons and firearms and a new instrument for Atsu. Players are also expected to have more control over Atsu’s choices than in the previous game. Another departure fromTsushima,Ghost of Yoteiallows Atsu to dual-wield weapons. It feels like the developer intends to deliver an entirely new game thatmaintainsGhost of Tsushima’score elements.
This isn’t the first time thatGhost of Tsushimahas shot up in player count this year. In fact,Ghost of Tsushimawas among the top20 best-selling games of July 2024. Hopefully, the hype will remain while fans eagerly await the release ofGhost of Yotei.
