On September 10, Version 2.5 ofHonkai: Star Railwas released, giving players a chance to snag thefive-star Wind character Feixiao, the five-star Fire user Lingsha, and the four-star Lightning wielder Moze. Titled “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue,” the update also added the frequently requested Casual Mode to some story combat stages, lowering the difficulty of some particularly tricky battles. While players returned to the Xianzhou Luofu for the most recent update, Version 2.6 will take players back to a particularly popular locale.
HoYoverse has announced that the next update forHonkai: Star Rail, “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age,” will be released on October 23 and will take players back to the Planet of Festivities, Penacony. Rappa, a new five-star Imaginary character on the Path of Erudition, will appear on the newest banner, while players will also have another chance to add Acheron, Aventurine, and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae to their roster. Version 2.6 will also introduceHonkai: Star Rail’s third Simulated Universe DLC, following the popular Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears. A massive void has opened up within the Simulated Universe, and players will begin by collecting Scepters and enhancing them with different Components to strengthen their unique abilities. As they progress, it will become possible to combine multiple Scepters to unlock more powerful abilities.

The new update’s story sees the Trailblazer crew taking on student life. As the team throws themselves into their studies, they meet Rappa, one ofHonkai: Star Rail’s Galaxy Rangersand a self-proclaimed ninja who also happens to love comics, rap, and graffiti art. The new five-star character is on a mission to hunt down Evil Ninja Osaru, her sworn enemy, and as is standard practice, the Trailblazers are eager to help. Players can also look forward to the “Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription” event in the newest update, in which they’ll serve as band manager for a lyrical extravaganza dubbed the Dreamlight Anniversary music party.
While Version 2.6 ofHonkai: Star Railhasn’t even been released, rumors have begun swirling around the 2.7 update, with a recent leak revealing that the four-star Lightning characterTingyun will get a new five-star form. New content isn’t slowing down forHonkai: Star Rail, as the game has remained incredibly popular since its release in April 2023.
