Reach Maker’s End
Maker’s End is in one of the northmost parts of the map. It’s not as long of a journey as it was to reach Meridian, but it will still take some time to get there. As you get closer to Maker’s End, you will be contacted by the mysterious figure who contacted you in the previous main quest.
He informs you of the location of an equipment stash near Maker’s End. The area is crawling with Eclipse forces, and he thinks that you will need some more equipment to deal with them. This objective is optional, and you can choose to just move on to Maker’s End instead of going for it.
As you head up toward Maker’s End, the main trail will lead you near a Bandit Camp. While it is fairly easy to just ignore it, you do have the option of taking it out to get some extra XP before proceeding further into the story.
As you start to enter a snowy area, you will be close to Maker’s End. There will be Eclipse in the area, so keep an eye out for them. If you decide to go for the equipment stash, look for a box with a purple icon above it as depicted above. The stash contains some helpful resources and also a Ropecaster.
As you get closer to the ruins, you will see cultists and corrupted machines patrolling. Mark them as you approach and then take them out. If you want to maintain the element of surprise, make sure to take out the Corrupted Watchers that are acting as guards for the cultists.
Even after you clear the first group, there will be more ahead on the road that leads to the ruins. There is even a Corruptor patrolling as well, so plan accordingly. Proceed north and go through the large skeletal-like remains of a building. Climb up the wall to continue going toward your destination. Keep moving through the ruins as the sounds of explosives get louder. It isn’t long before you encounter the source,a Deathbringer.
How to Beat the Deathbringer
The Deathbringer is weak to electric and fire damage. It is armed with a bunch of weapons and can deal a lot of damage. To complicate matters further, there is also a bunch of cultists and machines around the Deathbringer as well. One good way to handle this situation is to take out as many enemies around the Deathbringer before engaging it as possible. The best way to do this isthrough stealth.
Start with the Corrupted Watcher in the back and then take out the two archers walking along the platforms. Once you have cleared out enough of the opposition, it is time to take out the Deathbringer. Hit it with electric or fire damage to make cylinders appear all over it. Shooting these does a great deal of damage to it. The Deathbringer will fire its large machine guns at you and also has a flamethrower attack, so try not to get too close.
After you’ve destroyed the Deathbringer, loot the Eclipse Officer to get their Focus. Once the ensuing cutscene is over, approach the rubble and scan it with your Focus. Approach the spot and squeeze through the crack.
Investigate the Ruins
After a cutscene, you will be inside the ruins. Approach the open elevator shaft and climb down the ladder. Take a left, go down the hall, and then enter the room on your left. In this next room, turn right to proceed. Follow this path and go into the room ahead with a Deathbringer statue in it. Go through the doorway on the other side of this room.
Up ahead, you will find a set of stairs leading up. Go upstairs and then head through the doorway. On your right will be a ruined hallway and an open door. There will be a data file on the table and a passageway that lets you get past all the debris.
On the other side, the platform below you will collapse. Go left and climb up the ladder. Use the yellow parts on the walls to climb across to the other side where there is an open doorway. As you enter this next area, go through the open elevator shaft on the left. Climb up the ladder and use the parts of the wall to continue going uptoward Ted Faro’soffice.
At the top of the elevator shaft, you will find another area that you need to climb up. Keep going up and keep an eye out for any yellow objects that you can use to keep going up. You will eventually end up in a room that is mostly gone, giving a great view of the area below. Carefully go up the ruined wall and use the ledges further ahead to climb up. As you continue to ascend, you will find a path that leads back into the less destroyed parts of the building.
In this hallway, you will see an open elevator shaft with a pole in the back that you can grab and climb up. If you aren’t sure where to go, pay attention to what parts are lit up with the purple light. Before long, you will be in a large room with some objects on the wall nearby that will allow you to climb up to the top floor.
Approach the glowing machine on the right side of the office. After you interact with this machine, a file will appear on the table in the middle of this room. Interact with it to activate a holo recording. Once the recording is finished, another one will appear in its place. Activate this holo recording to progress the story, and then watch the final holo recording that appears. This unlocks the elevator that will take you back down.
