Learning what Olin really knows about the cultists is certainly an important endeavor for Aloy, but she also can’t ignore what the cultists didto the Nora. So while you are working through A Seeker at the Gates, you will also have to complete two additional main quests involving the efforts of the Nora tribe to seek vengeance for their slain comrades. The dig site provides some clues on where the rest of the cultists went, and in Revenge of the Nora, you can clear them out of Nora lands inHorizon Zero Dawn Remastered.
This walkthrough contains spoilers, proceed with caution.
From the dig site, you can head north toward Red Echoes. Mother’s Crown is along the way, so you should make sure to go there first to further progress A Seeker at the Gates if you haven’t done so already. There are several side quests you can pick up there along with a merchant that you can trade with.
When you are ready to continue, toward Red Echoes. In order to start the next step of this main quest, you will have to save at the campfire where the hunters are gathered. This triggers a cutscene and your objective will update.
Take Out the Camps
There are three camps around the ruins that will need to be cleared out first. Make sure to prioritize the alarm first. To have an easier time getting to the alarm undetected, stay hidden, and use Silent Strike to take out any enemies who get close enough. Once the alarm is disabled, you can take out any remaining cultists or machines in the area.
Another good approach is to use the Focus to highlight enemies and patrol paths. By doing so, you can see exactly how many enemies are in a camp at any given time, and can make it much easier to stay hidden. Of course, you can also just disregard stealth entirely and go on a less subtle offensive.
Once you’ve dealt with all three camps, head northeast toward the Tallest Tower. As you get closer, you will see Sona and Varl looking out over the ledge. Talk to Sona and then follow Varl.
When you reach the wall, talk to Varl to get up to the top. Carefully crawl along the ruined path toward the Blaze canisters. Take out the two cultists below and then drop down. Continue crawling toward the Blaze while keeping an eye out for any other cultists.
When you reach a dead end, look to the right and climb up the wall to continue. In the next area, there will be two more cultists. Crawl through the grass on the left side and use Silent Strike on the cultist closest to you. Don’t worry about the one on the right, as Varl will take care of them. Once you get to the top of the wall, a cutscene will trigger.
Reach the Blaze
Varl will head off to tell the others about the plan. In the meantime, your job is to reach the Blaze and detonate it. There are significantly more enemies here than there were at the camp, so you will want to beas stealthy as possiblefor this next part.
Use the Focus to highlight enemies and tracks so that you can stay undetected for as long as possible. As you enter this area, there will be two cultists nearby anda Corrupted Fire Bellowbackpatrolling in a circle.
To get past this machine, go through the trench on the left side as depicted in the image above. This will give you an area where you can crouch and slowly move undetected. At the end of this trench, there is another path just ahead. While crouching, slowly move through it toward the tall grass just past the ramp.
At the tall grass, you will see a small group of cultists directly in front of you. Off to your left is a Corrupted Watcher patrolling the left side. By this point, you are pretty close to the Blaze. you’re able to either continue to use stealth or you can run in and shoot the Blaze with a Fire Arrow. Once the Blaze has been hit, a cutscene will trigger.
At this point, you will have all the reinforcements you need to take out all the cultists and machines in this place. Focus on enemies who are distracted by NPCs, as they are easier to kill. Once every single enemy has been taken out, you will have completed this main quest.
