Party members inMetaphor: ReFantazioget XP and level up normally like most of RPGs, increasing their base stats each time. On top of each character’s level, their equipped Archetype can also gain its own XP and level up, learning new skills every few levels.
Each Archetypecomes from a family that has stronger versions available for characters who reach the max Archetype level for those lower in the family tree. Leveling up your Archetypes is just as important as leveling up your characters, here’s how to do it quickly.
How To Level Up Archetypes Fast In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Archetypes earn A-EXP, which is the second value shown during the victory screen in battle. Against most enemies in the game, you’ll earn less A-EXP than regular EXP, so your Archetypes will level up a bit slower. Each Archetype can beleveled up twenty times, at which point they will reach max level and that character can summon the next Archetype of that family as long as it has been unlocked with that archetype’s follower. Enemies beingkilled in the overworldis helpful, though only offers a small amount of A-EXP. Other ways to earn more A-EXP include:
Elementa enemies do not respawn once killed, but offer alarge amount of A-EXP, MAG, and Reeve, though they flee after only one turn of combat unless stunned. The other Hero items can be used on any character’s Archetype and will be fairly common rewards from quests and loot in dungeons. A Hero’s Leaf Of Light is the best item to use as it gives 1,000 A-EXP to any Archetype, and luckily they can be farmed.
How To Farm Hero’s Leaves Of Light In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Once an Archetype reaches the max level of twenty, it can continue to earn A-EXP and fill up the level-up bar. Instead of further leveling up the Archetype, once itearns 1,000 A-EXP, it will fill up the bar and generate a Hero’s Leaf Of Light. This can then be used on any Archetype, letting you level them up while still using a better Archetype, as some aren’t very useful at low levels later in the game.
This doesn’t change the speed at which A-EXP is earned but does allow you tochange how A-EXP is allocatedwithout changing your combat tactics. If you have a maxed-out Archetype on every party member, this process can be stacked to especially focus all A-EXP earned by the party onto an Archetype, speeding up the usual process of leveling up one Archetype. This method is great for leveling up an Archetype you don’t want to use, but do need a specific skill forfrom Skill Inheritance.
