What Do Health Drinks and Syringes Do?
Health Drinks and Syringes areSilent Hill 2’s medical items that will heal the player when they are injured. Players might not have a regular health bar to see what James' health is, but they will be able to see if they need to heal based on the red outlines on the corners of their screen. The stronger and more blurred the red lines are, the more health James needs to recover:

Health Drinks are far more common than Syringes, and by exploring different rooms, buildings, and opening lockers and drawers, players can find around 10 or more Health Drinks per area. As a survival horror, it’s best to reserve these healing items until they are needed in fatal instances due to their rare status.
Syringes are somewhat rarer than Health Drinks, and each zone inSilent Hill 2has around 1 to 4 of them lying in wait. They may be more effective than Health Drinks, but their scarcity proves that players should only take them when the alternative is total death. Syringes are also found in specific spots across the overworld, whether that’s rubbish piles, bathrooms, or cabinets.
