This fantasy realm has stunning landscapes, towering mountains, and hidden valleys, all of which take a while to explore on foot. Thankfully, there are a few different ways to fast-travel inMetaphor: ReFantazio,which can save you time and effort on your journey.
How To Unlock Fast Travel in Metaphor: ReFantazio
InMetaphor: ReFantazio, there are two main ways of fast travel: via the map and using the Gauntlet Runner. Both of them allow you to transport instantly, so you won’t need to walk or run to your destination.
You can only fast travel to places you’ve already visited, so make sure to explore the town thoroughly to unlock future teleportation options.
Using the In-town Mini-map
In bustling towns like Grand Trad, Virga Island, or Martira, getting from point A to point B can be a hassle. Luckily, you can quickly teleport to any spot within the town using your map.
Simply open your mini-map by pressing R1 on Xbox/PlayStation and M on PC. The map will display all the available locations within the town, along with the positions of followers and activities. Use the side list on the right to see the different areas. Once you find your desired location, click on it, and you’ll immediately teleport there.
Using the Gauntlet Runner
The Gauntlet Runner can instantly transport you to and from most locations in the kingdom. Unfortunately, this feature isn’t availableearly inMetaphor: ReFantazioand players will need to grind for a few weeks until they get a Gauntlet Runner.
On the afternoon of June 28th, shortlyafter you face Gideaux, you’ll find yourself unexpectedly transported to the Gauntlet Runner’s Engine Room for a meeting with Neuras. During this encounter, a strange interaction takes place between the protagonist and a mysterious component of the ship. This unexpected event will send you directly to bed.
When you wake up on June 29th, you’ll unlock teleportation with the Gauntlet Runner. You can immediately test this new ability by teleporting back to Martira and then returning to Grand Trad. The best part is, you can freely teleport between the major cities you’ve unlocked at your convenience, with no restrictions on the number of trips you can make in a day.
How To Glide On Your Sword in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Although it doesn’t offer instant teleportation like the fast-travel methods, you can glide on your sword to move around the cities and villages in style. While running, press Circle/O (PlayStation), B (Xbox), or V (PC) to activate the sword-gliding mode.
Once activated, you’ll glide across the ground at a much faster speed than running. It’s a great alternative to walking or running, especially when you need to cover long distances quickly.
