In just about everyLegend of Zeldagame, there is usually one (or more) Great Fairy for Lin- I mean, uh, the playable protagonist to gain some kind of boon from. For example inThe Wind Waker, Great Fairies granted Wallet and item count upgrades. InBreath of the WildandTears of the Kingdom, you canget Clothing upgrades from Great Fairies.
The Great Fairy inEchoes of Wisdomdoes something no otherZeldafairy does: this Great Fairy grants Zelda theability to equip more Accessories. By finding the Great Fairy location early, and by using her services whenever you have the Rupees, players can get max Accessories slots and even earn a nifty extra side quest from the Great Fairy herself.
What Does The Great Fairy Do In Echoes of Wisdom?
When you talk to the Great Fairy, she will offer to increase Zelda’s Style, which in this case meansincreasing your total Accessory slots.
Though you can get somepassive bonuses from Outfits, like the ability to talk to cats, Accessories provide some of the best passive combat bonuses in the game. And, with more slots, you will be able to equip more Accessories and take advantage of more bonuses at once.

When you startEchoes of Wisdom, Zelda can only equip a single Accessory. But thanks to the Great Fairy system you can upgrade Accessory slots up to amaximum of five Accessoriesthat can be equipped at once.
In total, it costs 1900 Rupees to fully upgrade your Accessory slots to a maximum of 5 slots. After reaching thefinal Accessory upgrade, the Great Fairy will also offer Zelda a special questthat eventually rewards theMight Bell accessory, which indicates when she is near aMight Crystal upgrade materialanywhere in the world.
Echoes of Wisdom Great Fairy Location
The Great Fairy can be found afterclearing the SuthornRuins dungeonat the end of the first area.
When offered to go to Gerudo Desert or Jabul Waters first, head to the Jabul Watersregion,butmake a detour south as soon as you reach the Lake Hyliaregionon the way.
You may run into an NPC on the beach on the shores of Lake Hylia who wonders where the Great Fairy has gone – but he doesn’t realize quite how close he is.
In fact,the Great Fairy location inEchoes of Wisdomis right in in a cave on an island right in the middle of Lake Hylia. There is nothing blocking you from getting inside the cave on the island in the middle of the lake – just remember to touch theWaypointjust outside to quickly come back later on.
