Hip leaning is the act ofleaning without aiming down your sights.This is useful as you will have a wider field of view and can aim quicker than when you are ADS. You can even blind fire while hip leaning. It’s a handy way to react to a situation faster than your opponents.

How to Hip Lean on Console & Controller
Once you’ve set the leaning behavior to Alternate, it’s time to start hip leaning like the pros. Aim down your sights and press in the left or right stick like normal.
