The Episode Battle mode inDragon Ball: Sparking! ZEROallows players to relive some of the most memorable moments from the popular anime and manga series from a number of different perspectives. Every now and again, though, they’ll also be given the opportunity to diverge fromthe mainDragon Balltimeline, as is the case with Vegeta’s Wicked Heart.

Rather than succumb to Babidi’s mind control, players will be able to shake off the brainwashing, which results in a never-before-seen what-if? scenario playing out. However, forDragon Ball: Sparking! ZEROplayers to be given the option to shake off the brainwashing in Vegeta’s Wicked Heart, they’ll first need to complete a hidden objective in one of the episodes that came before it.

How to Shake off Brainwashing in Vegeta’s Wicked Heart

To be given the option to shake off the brainwashing in Vegeta’s Wicked Heart, players will need tocomplete the Preparing for the World Tournament episode on the default difficulty setting while taking minimal damage. Unlikeother alternative objectives inDragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, this one isn’t made obvious on the episode select screen, as Preparing for the World Tournament does not have the green crossroads symbol next to it like most of the other episodes with secondary objectives do.

The best strategy for beating Trunks quickly while taking minimal damage is to keep one’s distance. Players should start the episode with a throw or smash combo to give them time to charge ki and Spaking Mode. From here, they should hit Trunks with a barrage of ki blasts and then use Cosmic Circle just as Sparking Mode is about to end. If done correctly,Vegeta will bring the training to an endand the pair will share a brief moment in base form. After that, players will have the option to shake off the brainwashing in Vegeta’s Wicked Heart.

Vegeta’s Number One Spot Sparking Episode

If players choose to shake off Babidi’s brainwashing, they’ll trigger Vegeta’s Number One Spot Sparking Episode. In this timeline, Vegeta never becomes Majin Vegeta. Instead, he takes out Dabura and Babidi, which prevents Majin Bu from waking up. He and Goku then square off at the World Tournament, after which, players will unlock the Number One Spot Trophy / Achievement andthe Goku (GT) playable character, the latter of which includes his base, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, and Super Saiyan 4 forms.
