In just about everyMario Partygame there are a selection of boards that comeunlocked at the start of the game, and other boards (or game modes) that can only be unlocked once you progress far enough in the normalMario Partymode. In the latest installment of the series,Super Mario Party Jamboree, new boards are unlocked in a novel way.
Instead of tying boards to currencies or specific one-off goals, to unlock new Boards inSuper Mario Party Jamboreeyou essentially just need to play the game. That’s because new Boards are tied toAchievements inSuper Mario Party Jamboree, and can only be unlocked once you Rank Up.
Every New Board In Super Mario Party Jamboree
In total,Super Mario Party Jamboreehas seven boards for players to choose from. Four of these seven new boards are unlocked by default and can be selected from the moment you load into the Party Plaza. Three Boards are not available at first but can be unlocked as you continue to play the game.
Mega Wiggler’s Tree, Goomba Lagoon, Rainbow Galleria, and Roll ‘em Raceway are all unlocked by default. You will have to unlock Western Land, Mario’s Rainbow Castle, and King Bowser’s Keep if you want to play on these new (and returning)Super Mario Party Jamboreeboards – and it can take quite a while to unlock some of them.
How To Unlock Super Mario Party Jamboree Boards
To unlock the newSuper Mario Party Jamboreeboards, you will have to earn in-game Achievements andprogress yourSuper Mario Party Jamboreeranking. You can check all Achievements available in the game, and your current Ranking, at the Data House to the left of the Balloon area when you spawn in to the Play Plaza.
When you startSuper Mario Party Jamboree, your player account will start at Bronze Rank. When you earn 10 Achievements, you progress to Silver Rank. At 20 Achievements you will reach Gold Rank, and 30 Achievements are required to get to Platinum Rank.
You should be able to get most achievements in the game by simply playing Mario Party mode and the Singleplayer mode, Party Planning. CompletingeachSuper Mario Party JamboreeBoardin Party Planning mode will net you a handful of achievements each time, and if you change up your Boards while playing normal Mario Party often you will unlock more Achievements faster.
If you are struggling to finish certain Minigame achievements, head to Minigame Bay so you don’t have to rely on chance to get the minigames you need. Focusing on the minigame Achievements is the fastest way to get enough Achievements to unlock newSuper Mario Party Jamboreeboards, but it can be a bit frustrating if you barely miss the relatively intense requirements for each minigame.
When you increase your Rank to Silver, Gold, and Platinum, you will get a reminder prompt the next time you enter the Mario Party mode via the Balloon that you have a new Board available. Though there aren’t any more boards to unlock after Platinum Rank, if you get to Diamond Rank and complete every Achievement inSuper Mario Party Jamboree, you will earn a special end credits sequence.
