Dealing with supernatural terrors isn’t the only obstacle that awaits you inAlan Wake 2: The Lake House. Between locked doors and areas influenced by the dream logic seeninControl, it can be difficult to navigate the Lake House facility.
Not long after you enter the Lake House, you will come across an elevator that seems to be the only way forward. Unfortunately, it can’t be used due to the fact that it requires a special security clearance that Agent Estevez does not possess. If you want to progress the story, you will need to track down the security clearance card that allows you to operate the elevator, and here is where you can find it.
How to Unlock the Elevator in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House
When you first enter the Lake House, you will see a room on the left that is lit up. Unfortunately, the door is locked, and it is the only way into the room. Face the elevator in the middle of this area, turn right, and head to the Co-Head of Research’s Office.
Along the walls of the office, you will see various documents that you can interact with and read. On the desk, you will find a locked computer and a note saying that the password should be changed daily.
When trying to figure out the password, here are a few things to remember:
As complicated as this may sound, all the clues you need to solve this puzzle are in the office. On the desk, you will find a calendar page for September 14 and the number “38” is in a bold font. On the other side of the office is a memo that has been framed.On this memo, you will see July 18 listed as the start date.You now have all the information you need tosolve this puzzle.
Approach the computer and enter the following for the password: 071838. This will unlock the computer and give you access to a security program and some emails. Use the security program to unlock that door that you couldn’t open earlier. Head into the newly unlocked room to find the Security Clearance 01 Keycard. This card has a high enough clearance that it will allow you to unlock the elevator and head down to the next floor ofthe Lake House.
