Wizard of Legend 2is afantastic roguelike gamethat adds a magical element to the genre, adding a unique spin on a tried and tested formula. It features a bunch of elemental abilities, alongside some cool customization options, and a decent amount of meta-progression.
One of the parts of the game that can be confusing for new players is the teleportation mechanics. There are portals scattered around each stage that can take the player around the map, similar to the ones found inDead Cells, though a lot less prevalent. However, it can be a bit difficult to use them consistently.
Where to Find Portals in Wizard of Legend 2
As a newcomer, the player is greeted by a teacher who gives them tips as theytraverse the map for the first time, but some aspects of the game aren’t well explained. Portals are small circular structures embedded in the ground that let the player teleport to other portals in the same area. These cut down on the travel time, and often act as a way to quickly access vendors once players collect as much coin as they can in a given stage.
If you’ve already gone through an area with a portal, you can find it on the map. It appears as a black circle with five smaller purple-ish circles surrounding it in a pentagon formation. Unfortunately, you can’t teleport directly to a portal on your map. You need to be on a portal before you can do that.
How to Use Portals in Wizard of Legend 2
Though it is quite straightforward to use portals inWizard of Legend 2, teleportation can be a little finicky at times.
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to initiate the teleportation if you’re not on top of the portal. It is possible to interact with the portal even if you’re not on top of it and enter the selection screen, but you won’t be able to teleport by clicking with the other portal icons on the map. If that happens, close that menu and move so that you’re within the circle. Then, interact with the portal and try the steps given above for the desired result.
